Woman is visited by a PSCO and told to remove an "offensive" sticker, told that her thinking is wrong and that she needs to educate herself. Also that TWAW is a fact.

FFS what the fuck is going on...

I've not listened but read the transcripts. This is soooo bad, I think the pcso will be in real trouble. It's illegal. It simply must be. It wouldn't matter what the subject matter is, it's such an inappropriate misuse of power.

But the transcript illustrates the problem we have with this issue. She thinks her beliefs are facts about the world. But these particular 'facts' are given such strange importance that saying the opposite results in this extreme response. She is not treating these 'facts' like other normal facts. So on some level she doesn't believe it, or she would be more relaxed about someone who doesn't agree that her facts are true.

I want to know which police service, and why this support officer thinks she can act like this and impose these beliefs on the public. What training told her this? I want FOI's and subject access requests, and everything put in the public domain.

I hope this woman gets good legal support and I hope she gets whatever resolution she desires.

VaggieMight · 14/08/2022 23:27

She's so upset she's ripped the sticker off now. This is so wrong.

That bully PCSO needs sacking. I don't usually support people losing their jobs, but the PCSO is abusing her power. She really seemed to be getting off on it too, she was so patronising to the woman with the sticker.

Lifeadmin · 14/08/2022 23:30

Is there a gardening plot for this? What is the force, I’ll happily write to them

Abitofalark · 14/08/2022 23:23

Thanks for the transcripts, ScreamingMeMe and pombear. Not everyone is on or has access to twitter.

It's on youtube and edited into one continuous piece

bluedomino · 14/08/2022 23:35

Oh so that's what PCSOs do! I've never actually seen one doing any work. Silly me, I thought they were supposed to walk around and look after people. After all they do earn more than Police Officers initially. But no, they are propaganda officers for Stonewall, pedalling lies and bullying women in their homes. That PCSO needs to be sacked immediately. Really, what is the point of PCSOs? I thought they mostly just had affairs with middle aged police men, 3 PCSOs were having an affair with the same Police Officer locally, no-one surprised. Its what they do. No wonder they don't work past 10pm, with all the affairs and bullying women they must be exhausted. Really hope that PCSO is re-educated about her job description. It's frightening to hear a trans-ally woman in real life after only reading their desperate attempts to be cool on twitter before.

MeaninglessGraphs · 14/08/2022 23:45

That PCSO needs sacking. An Aunt Lydia. Policing women's behaviour, and bullying a woman. No PCSO should do that, for a mildly-expressed sticker on someone's own door. For goodness' sakes!

That PCSO's level of education and information is atrocious. She's been stonewalled through and through. She hasn't got a fucking clue about women. Or treating people with respect and accepting different opinions. She's just shit at being a PCSO, a little hitler.

She needs sacking, she's no use - in fact is a danger - in the community.

LK1972 · 14/08/2022 23:58

VestofAbsurdity · 14/08/2022 22:35

That PCSO needs to be sacked, no ifs, no buts.

If she had turned up at my door she would have had the door slammed in her face within about 20 seconds. That poor woman obviously felt unable to do that and the PCSO knew that and fucking played on that vulnerability, utterly reprehensible.

That PCSO needs to be sued for harassment and victimization due to protected belief, which hopefully Harry and co will ensure.

I've genuinely never thought I would hear this kind of conversation in UK. As an immigrant from a far less democratic society it's very deja vu and unwelcome, to put it mildly Hmm

SunnyD44 · 15/08/2022 00:16

I’ve not listened to the recordings and it sounds as though the officer was very rude and inappropriate but I have no sympathy for the women.

She put this sticker on her window to get a reaction from people.
Same as those who put ‘white lives matter too’ stickers up.

Yes they’ll argue that it’s nothing actually offensive but we all know it’s intended to be so.

Abitofalark · 15/08/2022 00:16

Thanks for posting the youtube, Abandom. I'll definitely have a listen.

Do you think she'd have PCSO in for re-education if her sticker said TWAW? Why not?

I carry a 'definition of woman' tote bag.
I don't carry it to get 'a reaction from people', I carry it to remind myself of what's important to me and what is my truth, which is all to easily subsumed by TRA.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 15/08/2022 00:31

No I’m not in trouble nor do I have to remove it they just wanted to give advice as concerned about my safety as some may find it offensive

So the police are aware that women who disagree with the gender religion might be attacked by aggressive activists?

Especially scary as this PCSO knows Bella's address and has already displayed abusive behaviour.

MeaninglessGraphs · 15/08/2022 00:33

Why are the police/PCSOs being sent round to "check people's thinking," when they can't be arsed to turn up for domestic burglaries etc? And the rape of women by men is so rarely properly investigated and prosecuted, that rape is de facto legitimised? But a woman with a sticker on her house door necessitates multiple visits by the police?

Stasi. Thought police. Actual crimes are disregarded. Women committing thought crimes are treated as the "true menace" in society.

SwordToFlamethrower · 15/08/2022 00:45

Listening to that was extremely distressing and reminded me of when I had to self exclude from my local rape crisis centre because there was a man there.
I felt terrified, confused and betrayed. Why didn't they disclose this to me before I attended?

When I challenged them, they said they couldn't discriminate anymore because they would lose government funding. I said I had the right to know they had changed their policy before agreeing to counselling with them.

I complained to no avail. I never went back and it worsened my trauma. To me, it made my world get smaller and less safe to be in.

That was 6 years ago now. I really feel for this lady. The gaslighting and betrayals are like a knife in the soul.

Namerchangerextraordinaire · 15/08/2022 00:56

Her sticker might have come down, but I'll be ordering some to put up & I doubt I will be the only woman.

Bellas daughters are a credit to her & sound like fabulous young women.

That PCSO should be sacked.
They deliberately & maliciously harrassed that woman to the point of tears by abusing their position & if the police force she works with keep her on, I'll be asking my MP who women can trust?

The police who rape & murder women?
The police who stage dead bodies for fun & photos?
The police who arrest women for photos of ribbons?
The police who arrest women for putting a sticker on a lampost?
The PCSOs who abuse vulnerable rape victims for owning a sticker?
The police who don't even solve crimes any more, but have time to dance at Pride parades?

Since when have stickers been a priority with this govt who REFUSED to pay attention to the request for a register of family annihilators & other men who attempt to kill/seriously harm women to go with the one for sex offenders, but instead are insisting on setting one up for home educators?

This country is sick.
Deeply corrupt & perverse.

Sorry it happened to you Flowers

Are you aware of a pending court case for a similar situation? I believe there's a thread on this board, with IamSarah as op.

EsmaCannonball · 15/08/2022 01:02

This is so sinister. I'm normally uncomfortable about calling for people to be sacked but using your status as a PCSO to intimidate someone over their legitimate political views is such an abuse of power that she has to go. She sounded brainwashed and completely stupid.

The standard of police recruitment is absolutely shocking. And why are they spending hours on this shit but not even turning up to burglaries? Stupid and useless.

The absolute nastiness of continuing to sanctimoniously lecture a sobbing woman - it's a classic 'be kind' brigade behavior.

The PCSO is behaving in a clearly illegal way, on tape. I hope they throw a book at her and send the rest of them on 're-education' in actual, not Stonewall, law, seeing that they are supposed to protect it.

CompleteGinasaur · 15/08/2022 01:07

I really hope that, with the help of Fair Cop, the op can bring herself to take action about the egregious bullying she has just suffered at the hands of this dangerously self righteous idiot with a plastic badge. If it comes to that I would consider it an honour to stick some money into a crowdfunder for it, and I'm absolutely sure I wouldn't be the only one...

So, as ever, there is no answer to this fundamental question beyond "look, a squirrel!" there never is because there isn't one.

Every time. They’ll say Google is your friend, educate yourself, Why should I do your research for you, they’ll do anything but answer the question. And we know why.

A new rock bottom for the police …

Stonewall indoctrinated PCSO, I hope she’s fired, reeducated’ or disciplined. Name and shame the force, name and shame the PCSO.

im beyond disgusted, a PCSO abusing her power to gaslight and lecture a vulnerable rape victim.

If this alarming discussion reflects the quality of police training, women in the U.K. are up shit creek. I for one would like to know how police training covers sex and gender. What are recruits actually taught in regards to rape victim communication and womens rights.

This rape victim has a legal right to single sex spaces, she has a legal right to believe in biological sex (as most people do).

So much ideological clap trap sold as fact by the PCSO … The fact is that sex a protected characteristic. Trans people with an official gender recognition certificate are a protected characteristic too but this does not include every Tom dick or Harry who claims to have a different gender.

BloodyCamping · 15/08/2022 03:27

This is the final nail in the coffin, i have no faith or trust in the police

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/08/2022 03:40

If I understand it correctly, from Twitter, a couple of police visited this woman recently because they had received a complaint about the sticker. They had a little chat and went away, no action, no hard feelings either side.

The woman discovers from a neighbour that previously a PCSO had been asking about the sticker and the occupant of the house. So did that PCSO make the original complaint? And was it that very same PCSO who, when the complaint went nowhere, decided to personally do some re-education?

It really is horrifying.
