Woman told by PSCO that her thinking is wrong and she needs to educate herself.

Woman is visited by a PSCO and told to remove an "offensive" sticker, told that her thinking is wrong and that she needs to educate herself. Also that TWAW is a fact.

FFS what the fuck is going on...

PCSOs aren't police officers. They have few of the powers of police officers.

Why did the victim here even let her in? I'd have told her to bog off and fetch proper police (which she would not have done, as she knew full well what her powers weren't).

Usual female people pleasing #be kind, be polite-ness. See where it gets you.

Off topic but there is a treacle mine about 5 miles from me. Marked on the map!

aweegc · 15/08/2022 19:40

Why did the victim here even let her in?

First the PCSO was initially in relation to some kind of drugs investigation (not related to Bella, it was just seemingly used as a way to engage her).

Secondly the police are not supposed to be a threat. If you're not from a minority community that has been targeted by the police and just a regular law abiding citizen you are likely to think that the police are public servants who you can trust. This is not her fault for thinking the police are there to do their job - and relatively trustworthy. That's exactly what they're supposed to be.

KittenKong · 15/08/2022 19:50

Aren’t we supposed to ‘be kind’? 🙄

Treaclemine · 15/08/2022 20:10

NitroNine · 15/08/2022 18:33

@Treaclemine
Just jumbled up the end of your post as I read it & thought you were wishing a dragon onto the PCSO 🤦‍♀️

Between that & repeatedly reading “[police] farce” rather than “[police] force” am a bit worried my brain has overheated & stopped working.

(Also, Treacle Mine? Do you also dabble in Pork Futures? Belong to a Guild?)

It really was amazing how effectivelly that woman was using the way the actor delivered the part - and that character got burned!
Treaclemine is the result of some thinking wild ideas about Sarah's experience in Brighton. Having come from a Brighton family it piques me how it is now synonymous with bad stuff. I thought someone should set up an alternative rape support service, only under the radar, and I thought of getting a property outside the city a bit (Note, I have no money) and my aunt's reference to Patcham Treacle Mine came to mind. Chiefly because the TRAs might not recognise what it had to do with. Apparently, according to my research, it was slang for a place which gave out doles to the poor. Treacle, as in the Oxford well referred to by Lewis Carroll. was originally a word for healing, so appropriate.
This then transmogrified into a Winnebago type vehicle, containing a medical suite, a room for one to one counselling, and a group meeting room, for XX people only, and never where the TRAs could find it. It would have a supply of leaflets for any XYs who did get there referring them to the Brighton lot
Totally unrealistic, of course. But when I decided to stop lurking, the TReaclemine popped up as a nom-de-very-sticky-plume

Datun · 15/08/2022 21:08

PrimAndProperViperish · 15/08/2022 14:21

That's an excellent idea. But I suspect anything that is a 'feminist group' is considered a 'hate group' by the current orthodoxy, and would not be entertained.

We'll to be fair, it doesn't have to be a recognised feminist group. Any solicitors could do it.

It just has to be fair, proportionate and to comply with the law.

sashh · 16/08/2022 06:07

Sorry if this has already been posted but this is Kelly Jay / Posie Parker's take on it

oldwomanwhoruns · 16/08/2022 07:15

If Posie's having a demo, I'm up for it.
So angry at hearing the recording of that poor woman yesterday.

TheBiologyStupid · 16/08/2022 09:56

Glinner has posted a legal discussion about this case by Dennis Noel Kavanagh:
grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/in-this-country-we-have-never-had

Clymene · 16/08/2022 10:24

I read the transcript but had to stop listening to the audio. It was just too horrific

LuftBalloons · 16/08/2022 10:46

I'm listening to Kellie -Jay Keen take the audio apart, and I had to fast forward. Her daughter sounds wonderful.

And Dennis Kavanagh is a hero for pulling the legal niceties apart.

I hope "Bella Doe" reaches out for help, because I think many many women around the country want to support her, and her daughters & son.

If you're reading this Bella Doe, we're here for you.

FireFlyBoogaloo · 16/08/2022 11:54

I was absolutely livid when I first heard the recordings. I've calmed down a bit now, but it's still outrageous.

This PCSO should be sacked immediately. The transgression is far too serious for a mere warning. She harassed and intimidated a vulnerable woman in her own home, and the fact that she did it from the cover of a police uniform should, IMO, elevate this to the level of a crime.

And the police need to get Stonewall out immediately. They're indoctrinating their staff into trans ideology, and if they think that isn't just a short step from the (equally imported) "defund the police" rhetoric they're crazy.

Bella did really well given her circumstances and the pressure she was under in this situation.

But part of me wishes it was some of us here who'd had the visit. The PCSO would've left peaked and crying after ten minutes with some of you warriors. 😂

FireFlyBoogaloo · 16/08/2022 11:55

It was also interesting that the PCSO sounded very emotional and on the verge of tears at one point. She sounded like a fanatical zealot.

MalagaNights · 16/08/2022 12:27

This is appalling. It's frightening.
Hard to believe it's happening in the UK but it is.

Time for some serious action.
Do away with non crime hate crimes.
Get stonewall out of public sector institutions.
Send all the police on retraining about the law and the role of the police!!

What struck me was how rational the pcso thought she was being. She really thought she was explaining established facts which everyone had agreed on. She was sure she was and she just needed Bella to understand this.
It's as if she thought Bella was denying gravity or something, when in fact it was her doing exactly that equivalent in denying biological sex.

It is utterly utterly extraordinary that we've reached such a point where the police believe things which deny reality and think it's their role to ensure everyone believes in.

Topsy turvy head spinningly extraordinary.

The pcso should lose her job. She a fundamental lack of understanding of the role of the police makes her unfit and dangerous

Handsoffmyrights · 16/08/2022 12:29

This is so sinister.

I've just heard the recording on Kellie Jay's video and I'm fuming.

This is the Thought police (well, Thought PCSO).

Stonewall and co have done such a number on these public sector organisations that the problem is endemic.

The victim has my support. What she has been subjected to is just chilling and I hope the police force involved are held to account.

Handsoffmyrights · 16/08/2022 12:33

Yes, this was frightening - the PCSO's wholehearted belief in magical thinking, presenting it as fact.

I noticed that too and completely agree. This PSCO is not just parroting the Stonewall line, they have an unshakable belief that they are correct in their conviction.

yourhairiswinterfire · 16/08/2022 12:42

But part of me wishes it was some of us here who'd had the visit.

Yes, it'd be great to hear her trying to spew that Stonewall propaganda at someone who isn't distressed or intimidated by her.

NitroNine · 16/08/2022 12:45

@Treaclemine

Ah yes: ‘Is there no treakle in Gilead? Is there no physician there?’ etc.

It’s a wonderful idea you have. And should you ever discover you CAN summon dragons perhaps you’ll be able to negotiate a share of their hoard to fund it. Bella’s another woman who’s been failed by the insistence on only providing mixed-sex services - we really are back to having to set up these facilities, & DV refuges, all over again.

Perhaps she has a family member / close friend who is trans. Along with the indoctrination, that would account for the emotion. Being trans isn't really rare any more is it? Almost everyone I know with teens either has a "trans" child or has a child who is at a school where there are several "trans" young people in their class.

CriticalCondition · 16/08/2022 13:04

I was incredibly impressed by how 'Bella' stood her ground and was able to articulate her views even though she was clearly very distressed. In her position I think I would have just told the PSCO to leave. And, ironically, I think in my position I would have given a PCSO hectoring me in my own home such short shrift that she wouldn't have been able to get through a fraction of her lecture. And so it would not have been exposed.

Bella is a very strong woman.
I think we owe her a lot.

Somanysocks · 16/08/2022 13:52

Makes me feel like doing some stickering in solidarity.

I would relish a knock on the door from this pcso.

If you take out those jumping on a fashionable bandwagon (and given the way the tide is turning being trans, non binary or cat gender will soon be as hip as peppering your speech with "daddio") then the numbers are as vanishingly small as they ever were.

www.college.police.uk/app/major-investigation-and-public-protection/hate-crime/responding-non-crime-hate-incidents/changes

Definition of a non-crime hate incident:

'A single distinct event or occurrence which disturbs an individual, group or community’s quality of life or causes them concern.

National standard for incident recording (NSIR)'

Under this definition I'd say the PCSO's behaviour could feasibly be reported as a non-crime hate incident.

TheBestBitch · 16/08/2022 14:51

This is so shocking. Who ultimately polices the police, is it the home office?

What are they even FOR these days? Apparently not investigating rape cases or responding to burglaries or most crimes.

They need to spend less time dancing at Pride and haranguing women for holding GC beliefs and more time actually policing.

Signalbox · 16/08/2022 15:00

That's true. But the non-binaries and the [insert-random-word-here]-genders are 100% convinced of their validity and additionally appear to be the most sanctimonious of all the genders, so we still need to learn how to manage them until the fashion has moved on. Although God knows what genderism could morph into next.
