My friend picked this up last night, and I've been waiting for comments.

She does seem the acceptable face of trans, and reasonable, but I spotted a couple of missed points. The interviewer mentioned problems about prisons, but there was no answer to that.
The other was her suggestion that there are now so many more girls seeking transition because they can see it is possible. But that if this were so, there would be strings of middle aged and older women wanting to transition as well, and that was not pursued.
She wants all women, our sort and her sort, to act together to improve women's status.

I'd be interested to know what others think.

I suspect that if women had equal status to men in society and weren’t objectified, Shon Faye wouldn’t want to be one.

Shon Faye is not a person who cares about women and girls.

That I hadn't come across her explains the misspelling. She certainly didn't come across like that last night.

I do think that Faye looks after Faye's self before anyone else at all. So, it wouldn't surprise me that Faye realised that their past words and deeds were not really getting book sales.

Shon's relatively harmless, the 'enjoy ur erasure' moment aside, mostly because as far as I can make out, everyone thinks Shon's a bit of a pillock.

Shon seems to waft in whatever direction the wind du jour is blowing.

Shon did an article in the guardian about being a man who likes wearing make up once, then declared Shonself a woman and gleefully told women our ability to define ourselves had already been removed (the era of 'enjoy ur erasure') Shon went to an exclusive boys' public school and seems desperate to be the media voice of genderbollocks, so I'm guessing will say whatever provides the best PR. Sadly for Shon it's a crowded market.
