Ricky Gervais sharing Mr Menno on FB

Sorry if there is already a thread about this...
I am so surprised to see Ricky Gervais has shared a video of Mr Menno where he speaks about the issues with gender ideology on Facebook.

The comment section is alive with so many people speaking out, I have never seen this on Facebook before, I find many people are too scared to say what they think and its usually full of people shouting others down and calling them bigots if few dare to speak.
(There are few but they are being successfully challenged.)

I saw it on twitter .. didn't know he'd shared it on Facebook. That's brilliant, Nish comes over as deranged.

Edited to add for lack of clarity. On twitter he shared the video where Mr Menno was talking about Gervais and Nish Kumar with clips from both. It's brilliant.

Ah. Interesting. I had an idea Gervais knew a lot more about the subject than a cursory glance at his Twitter would have you believe.

Brilliant! I really liked the Mash Report and I think Nish does some good stuff, but this is so offensive, he’s not the only male comic with a saviour complex on this, the arrogance of thinking you can speak not just about an oppressed group, but that you can be the judge of whose rights are more important. Fucks me off.

Just go to Facebook and do a search for Ricky Gervais's page. It's there – currently with 1400 likes and nearly 500 comments.

This is massive: it brings the whole GC case Menno outlines to a huge new audience. Well done to Gervais for reposting.

It's a really good video. Lots of information, with evidence, presented calmly and with humour.

Yeah he did it on Twitter too a while back- it’s a great video, so concise and calm from meno. Plus promise I’m not a stalker Ricky follows Helen Joyce and Jane Clare Jones on Twitter so he must have a pretty solid understanding of it all!

And yes, Nish is way behind the curve on this one. All that nonsense about they wouldn't stop because of a label on the door (straight out of the TRA playbook). They don't have to stop because everyone is too petrified to call them out.

In the old days, you see a bloke going to the ladies, everyone would say something. Now, no one does. Not because they are any more comfortable with it, but because they're frightened. And why does it always have to be a rapist or a murderer? There are a zillion men who like making women feel uncomfortable, uneasy, humiliated. And now they've all got never-ending opportunities to do it. Every last one.

And yes, Menno is right. People are still seeing this as the next civil rights movement. Nish, if you ever do anything, read the Denton report. It's all entirely deliberate. And you're buying it.

You'd have to live under a rock though, wouldn't you.

Who thinks it's cool to support a movement that allows rapists into women's prisons, men beating women at sport, and the complete obliteration of rape refuges for women?

For God sake, if you're going to target another comedian's material over one of the most hot topics, do some bloody research.

I love Rachel Parrish's excellent skits.

The reaction to it is like nothing I have seen before on facebook, it's amazing seeing people who are well versed giving out facts and statistics when faced with bogus claims.
And the people it is peaking to what is happening.

Its so nice to see toxic people not being able to control other people's thoughts and views.
Amazing.

Nish is even more TWAW han the Guardian, but less funny.

Mr Menno is a great personality in the GC cause, an entertainer and humour goes a long way. Would love to see him given a wider platform. Well done Ricky.

I bought XP tickets to that Nish show as he loved him and Joel Dommett in the programme they did together. So glad I didn’t go with him or I’d have had to walk out after hearing that bilge. He did tell me there was a bit about trans stuff that I wouldn’t have enjoyed but honestly Nish sounds unhinged!!

Im not sure Nish’s audience is even entirely with him. The laughter sounds subdued and nervous in places. I can understand this since I’d have happily gone to see him but would have wanted to leave after that.

Mr Menno is excellent.

I haven't seen mr Menno before but he is excellent. I can't stand NK and his nasal hectoring.

All I can hear in Nish's rant is how much he despises women. (The old fashioned type)
The whole thing is basically him saying shut the fuck up women and do as the penis people say.

Not to people of colour though.
