Findlay: I object to Bastow's assertion that medicine is the same in all jurisdictions. Access to abortion is different in different jurisdictions. This is analogous to trans-affirming care.
Differing levels of acces to abortion are politically and ideologically driven. Such differences are not predicated on medical grounds.
Ergo, BF is claiming that gender medicine around the world, and specifically in Canada, is not being driven by medical evidence, but by politics and ideology.
A very interesting comparison, and one that undermines BF’s case, I would say.
