I think the joke went over your head Janet. Lanny called women "rights hoarding dinosaurs". Gervais is demonstrating the ridiculousness of that, as well as the ridiculousness of calling people with penises and beards women. He is not saying that he considers women to be dinosaurs.

Gervais tells the audience right at the very beginning he is going to use irony to make jokes and still people like Janet miss it. I mean, what more can the man do?

The whole special was brilliant. And the fact that Ricky Gervais just doesn't give a shit what the TRA/MRA lot think about it is even better. He knows exactly what he's doing and he's brilliant at it. Bravo Ricky, haven't laughed that hard in ages.

That section was very very funny and absolutely true. Ricky is a genius using the bullies own words against them. And finishing with lose the cock he deserves a Knighthood.

The topic comes up throughout the show and he makes some really good points.

I mean he also had a lot to say about the lovely Louie CK being cancelled and how unfair it is. The one who actively sexually assaults young women. I don’t agree with the current trans movement and I think it’s so harmful to women and also massively encouraging stupid stereotypes we’ve worked so hard to overcome, but he’s not bashing trans people to stick up for women. He’s doesn’t really care about women at all otherwise surely he’d be whole heartedly behind Louie CK being pushed out.

Yes, the dinosaurs bit is because of David Lanny, when he accused us of 'being like dinosaurs and hoarding our rights' he also thought a TW would grow a cervix! I used to have a lot of respect for him, now I just turn him off when he is on the radio.

He's holding a mirror up to the ridiculousness of it all and he does it brilliantly. His focus is NOT specifically about the rights of trans.......its about the fading rights of women.

The bit about you won’t find a 10 year old tweet saying women have penises was brilliant. He talked a lot about cancel culture and why it’s wrong. I loved the whole show.
