The Family Sex Show: police investigation

Some on here will remember that I was one of the people who made some official complaints about it, I contacted The Arts Council, NSPCC, CEOP etc. I also contacted Avon and Somerset police as ThisEgg's company was registered with Companies House at a Bristol address. I did not just complain about the stage show but also very much about the material that was being put out online.
The police have phoned me this morning and will be conducting an investigation. They are obviously asking about supporting evidence. Of course I directed them to the webpage, YouTube channel etc, but as we know, some stuff got deleted. There are however screenshots and archives available as I have described to the police officer.

I have my own screenshot of the part about the masturbating animals. If anyone has or is aware of any other deleted material, and they would like to make the police aware, please PM me and I can pass on the police officer's contact details.

I am still trying to find the material that was (I think) on Twitter (?), with the part about making something hurt less, and about whether it "bothers you if my body misbehaves". This is stuff I was particularly perturbed by and I cannot find it on the website, can anyone point me to where I saw that?

OP, thank you so much for pursuing this. I'll see what might have been put away carefully - I have trouble archiving videos/sound and I think those things you mention were maybe clips of film shared in tweets.

theDudesmummy · 24/05/2022 11:48

Thanks, do you know where I access that part about hurting and misbehaving?

Just seen your message, thanks

I think it was part of the online magazine?

Thank you, op. I am hopefull that perhaps this will be taken seriously now. Perhaps in the future 'best intentions' don't create a situation that people who want to cause harm can use to their advantage.

Have you seen the DM article about it. (Dated 20th April)
there are some screenshots of the website on there along with other stuff.

Sorry I haven’t followed your case so you’ve prob already got what’s on there.

good for you pursuing it

I know the ‘advert’ you mean, OP. It was a childlike voice saying creepy sexual things, sounded just like a predator grooming a victim. Does it bother you when my body misbehaves, how can I make it hurt less etc 🤢 I saw it on Twitter, posted by ThisEgg, linked to from a Mumsnet thread. Just had a quick look at Twitter and can’t see it anymore, I think perhaps has been deleted.

Thank you for standing up for children’s safeguarding.

The policeman certainly seemed very serious. He was aware of the outcry/media interest etc. I have been able to point him to plenty of stuff, the one thing I am am having trouble accessing a copy of online is the @ThisEgg 14 January 2022 tweet (with audio clip), if anyone has an archive of that and wants to share it with the police do let me know.

OP posts:
theDudesmummy · 24/05/2022 12:20

@Lavenderlast that was the one. It has selectively disappeared from Twitter now. Interesting.

@domesticatedzombie

I know Zombie archived some.

UsernameNotAvailableHmm · 24/05/2022 12:28

OP -

I hope other posters will be able to help you out in finding the audio clips and tweets, to help further with the police investigation.

All your efforts (and those of others) have not been in vain. A very big THANK YOU Flowers

Surely the whole mucky business of 'The Family Sex Show' won't go without consequences for those involved.

SolvedEnglishComprehension · 24/05/2022 12:37

That one?

theDudesmummy · 24/05/2022 12:49

The picture and audio clip that were originally included in that tweet are gone, I cannot seem to find access to them anywhere.

OP posts:
theDudesmummy · 24/05/2022 12:51

@UsernameNotAvailableHmm even if the only consequence is that organisations such as the Art Council and prestigious arts venues think twice about promoting grooming for child sexual abuse, and educate themselves about safeguarding, for fear of police involvement, then that would be a worthwhile outcome.

SolvedEnglishComprehension's link works fine for me.

I've sent a link, and also made (and sent) a transcript. I'm hella busy today but will have a further look through archives later and see what's in there.

LifeInsideMyhead · 24/05/2022 12:53

I can't help but thank you so much for this. It was incredible how brazen it was and they obviously believe they are on the side of right/ educating/ informing etc. But gosh . yes. Thankyou.

Disturbing.

PineForestsAndSunshine · 24/05/2022 13:11

I've made screen recordings of the clips linked in this thread (posted 14 and 21 Jan) in case they suddenly disappear. Is there an archive anywhere they can be uploaded to?

LifeInsideMyhead · 24/05/2022 13:13

Gosh. that is disturbing.

FemaleAndLearning · 24/05/2022 13:20

Not sure if this is still on their website but the description of vaginismus was disturbing to me. They took the first bit of the NHS description to make it look like pain was normal and natural when something was inserted into the vagina. They did not complete the description that is on the NHS website.

Fantastic for pursuing this OP. All power to you.

Faez · 24/05/2022 13:34

Urgh that clip is so creepy

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 24/05/2022 13:45

Thank you OP. I applaud you for making a stand about this. It was so blatant. Perhaps the police will be interested in those media organisations who promoted this vileness as well. Gruniad springs to mind, and the BBC who should know better after sheltering & facilitating Saville. Promoting material which clearly crosses a boundary. Its shocking.
