So if attacks on JKR stem from the her defence of Jews, why then did she use her essay on trans rights to promote a person who tweeted on multiple occasions that George Soros is funding the "transgender lobby"?

I think @frenchriver that it's possible to communicate with both women on a public communication platform called 'Twitter' so you can ask them directly.

The source of monies behind ideologies is indeed a fascinating and important subject that needs much deeper investigation.

I'm surprised that I have to explain this, but criticising a Jewish person for something they have done is not the same as criticising someone for being Jewish.

When you've had to withstand the fucking onslaught of antisemitism that Jews in the UK, particularly Jewish women, have endured over the past few years, it kind of empowers you to also stand up for women's rights - because we've been relentlessly attacked, gaslighted, smeared, abused and misrepresented, so we're used to it... unfortunately.

That India Willoughby tweet is horrendous, as an aside. Is that legally actionable? Saying JKR's charity work counts for nothing because Jimmy Saville hid his sexual abuse behind charity work - is that not drawing a comparison between JKR and Saville?
I know JK normally rises above but I'd be on to my lawyers if that was me.

Emma Nicholson seems to think so. It is quite a poisonous tweet , seeming to smear JKR because , like Savile , she was raised as a Catholic. And trying to drive a wedge between Jews and Catholics. It is a very serious, even dangerous accusation.
