Am watching Have I Got News For You and Sonia Sodha is on and wearing a dinosaur necklace 🦕 (only visible in close ups).

OP posts:
tabbycatstripy · 22/04/2022 21:30

Fabulous woman. I love her, and everything about her.

AreWeNearlyHairnet · 22/04/2022 21:35

They just mentioned the book list published this week that omits JK Rowling, but they didn't go there in terms of making any jokes or commentary about it. 🙁

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/04/2022 21:36

I love Sonia. I'll watch this on catch up tomorrow

BridasShieldWall · 22/04/2022 21:51

I find it ‘interesting’ that they don’t cover it - it’s ripe for parody

Cuck00soup · 22/04/2022 22:03

I think Ian is GC judging by private eye.

Clymene · 22/04/2022 22:13

She was great! I only watched this because she said she was going to be on it on Twitter.

I didn't notice her necklace! I think I was too bedazzled by her hair Blush

MsFogi · 22/04/2022 22:18

Oooh I need that necklace! Anyone know where it is from?

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 22/04/2022 22:43

We were just watching this on catch-up and me sitting there going "is that a dinosaur??"! (Eyes a bit tired tonight). Had to come on here to check if I was right! 😂🦕 Hurray!

TheMarzipanDildo · 22/04/2022 22:45

I must have missed the bit where they were introduced because I didn’t realise who she was! She was good.

Need to watch it back to find the dinosaur.

Hoardasurass · 22/04/2022 22:52

I saw this and am waiting to see the extended version later in the week

Winecheesesleep · 22/04/2022 22:53

Love her! Didn't notice the dinosaur, very nice.

girasol · 22/04/2022 22:58

With apologies for my ignorance, is the (any?) dinosaur necklace a feminist symbol or something…?

ValerieDoonican · 22/04/2022 23:02

Oh god yes her hair is fabulous isn't it? And the rest of her of course!!

MaryAndHerNet · 22/04/2022 23:02

A politician said women are 'rights hoarding dinosaurs' I believe.
So obviously, women with a sense of humour, took it and ran with it.

'Be Kind' TRAs make threats.
'evil' terfs make jokes

Hoardasurass · 22/04/2022 23:05

@girasol David lammy called us rights hoarding dinosaurs and we took it and ran with it.
Whenever you see a dinosaur 🦕 it's a feminist sign

MaryAndHerNet · 22/04/2022 23:06

Hopefully there is a picture attached of the wonderful Sonia and the necklace.

HIGNFY is recorded over a longer period then edited down to the programme length. It is possible they did joke about it but it was edited out.

Loveacuppa · 22/04/2022 23:09

On Amazon there is a "Menagerie Dinosaur Geometric Necklace" that looks similar.....

I think Ian is GC judging by private eye.

Of course he is! He's the voice of common sense.

girasol · 22/04/2022 23:09

Ah, thank you @Hoardasurass and @MaryAndHerNet - and here was me thinking Lammy was one of the more credible ones 🙄

The brass necks on us, eh, thinking we should be allowed to retain/have any rights?!

I think it's hilarious he tried to insult.wmen and women were.just like,
"We like that, we're having it..."

Now at protests and such, amazing women in inflatable dinosaur costumes. It's great.

LizzieSiddal · 22/04/2022 23:35

Oh this makes me so happy! Will watch tomorrow.

<cough> It's why so many of us namechanged to something that sounded vaguely dinosaur-related. 🤗

I had a name change at one point to "bubonic plague" when Alex Sharpe likened "exclusive feminism" to "bubonic plague" on Radio 4's Woman's Hour.
