Just thought it was about time someone asked.

Anyone?

Male

tabbycatstripy · 24/03/2022 10:57

An essence, a feeling, a cheap suit?

Nnique · 24/03/2022 10:58

It definitely doesn’t have anything to do with Penis.

RhymesWithOrange · 24/03/2022 10:59

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails?

JemimaTiggywinkle · 24/03/2022 11:01

So hard to define!
Sometimes I just feel like a man. Maybe I’ll apply for my next job in “man mode” and see if I get paid more.

FreelanceFiona · 24/03/2022 11:04

Wouldn't it be nice if someone asked our politicians and commentators this q. Funny how they don't... Hmm

A beard, a bone and a bicycle. Thats a man.

Apologies to Kipling, not.

MarshmallowSwede · 24/03/2022 11:34

Someone who is always there to show up to let a woman that she’s doing it wrong.

“It” being anything from walking to fixing something to the woman’s job.

DomesticatedZombie · 24/03/2022 11:41

Annoying?

WhyIsEverythingSoHard · 24/03/2022 11:44

The starting point. Everything is defined from that. A woman is a human that isn’t a man.
Clothes are by definition fir the male body and cost more if you have to deviate from that.
Symptoms of illness and medications are defined for men (women are too unreliable due to hormones)
Being human is being a man. Other types of humans are variations from that.

DomesticatedZombie · 24/03/2022 11:44

Sorry. Flip.

This, instead:

WhyIsEverythingSoHard · 24/03/2022 11:47

Should have mentioned. Any human variation from being a man is lesser than of course

SquishySquirmy · 24/03/2022 11:58

I have heard that the answer is blowing in the wind.
Have you looked there?

Rightsraptor · 24/03/2022 12:02

Quite right, OP, that is what the question should be but seldom is.

I read a developmental biologist (or someone who knows way more than me, not hard) saying that too. But his reasoning was complex biological stuff.

My reasons are about all this 'what is a woman?' crap harks back to history as in 'the woman question', 'what do women want?' and all that mystical nobody-understands-women garbage. Many women seem to go along with that.

We are half the human race, we are not men, they are not us. We should be alike in rights and dignity. I don't see why that's hard to grasp.

JellySaurus · 24/03/2022 12:29

@Nnique

It definitely doesn’t have anything to do with Penis.
How very dare you? Shock All hail the nooble knob! Salute the scared shlong, pattern of humanity, ruler of all, that can do no wrong!
ginslinger · 24/03/2022 12:35

I'm wearing jeans today and haven't got any makeup on and after doing some heavy lifting in the garden I've started to sweat a little in a really manly way. I feel so masculine, ladies I could almost drink a pint. I think today I'm a man

SerendipityJane · 24/03/2022 12:36

Who cares ?

Thumpsquids · 24/03/2022 12:37

I am a man. I am a man because I was born male, and have lived a certain number of years. These years change with culture, but here in the UK, 18 usually suffices. I am a man regardless of how I feel, my shoes, what sports I like, if any, how I choose to wear my hair, what toys I played with as a child, my personality, or how masculine/effeminate I may present. My bones, if any remain, will show my man-sex long after I'm gone. This description suits me just fine.

SerendipityJane · 24/03/2022 12:41

I'm a man. And so is my wife.

FrancescaContini · 24/03/2022 12:42

I’m feeling kinda manly today with my trousers and short hair.

My boobs may tell another story but they’re not important, it’s all about how I feel, right?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 24/03/2022 12:43

A Non Woman

StopStartStop · 24/03/2022 12:44

XY chromosomes. Adult, human, male. No matter what they wear, or how they 'feel'.

Changethetoner · 24/03/2022 12:44

It's what baby boys grown into. Like a calf grows into a cow. Oh wait...

JenniferWildlay · 24/03/2022 12:45

Quintessence of dust...

PenguindreamsofDraco · 24/03/2022 12:48

I'm wearing make up and a dress today, and am sipping diet coke in a delicate fashion. Oh, and doing that bleeding from the genitals thing. I'm expanding the bandwidth of what it means to be a man.
