It was a good, sympathetic interview and in the middle, glinner got a bit choked up. My heart, and thanks, goes out to him. He talks of losing everything, his family and friends, and that must have been so painful. But hopefully amongst his new band of friends, Arty and Helen not the least, he is admired and respected.

I think he is very brave, and what certainly comes across is his frustration that people whom he knows agrees with him are standing back and leaving him out there all alone. If only a few more prominent people would pipe up, we might have got through this already!!

Not without flaws but I'm very grateful that he speaks up. Huge fan of Father Ted and hate that his career has been decimated for speaking up.

If you’re reading this Glinner then always remember that we appreciate you. I’m so sorry that you’ve paid a heavy cost for it but you’ve been a total champion.

The finest comedy writer of his generation, bar none. Genius of the set-up gag. He knows absurdity when he sees it and he was able to (gently) skewer religion. It seems this ideology is beyond satire however. At least for now.

That’s one of many things that really pisses me off about all this - that we don’t get to see the Father Ted musical. I love Graham’s writing and I love Neil Hannon’s music, what a fabulous thing it must be but we are being denied.

Glinner you ARE right. I am so sorry for all you have lost through this and I think you are a hero in standing for women. I heard Stella O'Malley talking to Benjamin Boyce on a recent podcast. She says that the human animal reacts in one of the following ways to conflict: fight, flight, freeze, appease. It strikes me then, that while only one in four of us will fight a senseless ideology, 3 quarters will respond in a different way. The "fighters" in the younger generation have been educated to disagree with the women of the older generation who have witnessed direct sexism and many sexual assault. Hearing this analysis of human response made sense to me in understanding why more people don't stand with this fight back. But gotta say, those who do are awesome. Thank you.

Thank you Graham. I know you feel like a voice in the wilderness, but women who get this and men who get this (and we are legion), appreciate what you are doing more than we can say. Those of us with no public platform are reliant on those few, brave souls who do and are prepared speak up against this 'emperor's new clothes' madness. I agree with you that one day people will look back on this period of our social history and shake their heads in bafflement that the majority were prepared to go along with this cult-like affirmation that men are women if they say so for what it is.
