Trans cyclist will be allowed in Commonwealth Games

The Daily Telegraph exclusive reports today that Commonwealth Games chiefs have agreed on new gender rules, which could pave the way for a trans woman to race for a female cycling medal.

The DT understands a potential contender, who previously competed in male categories is in serious contention to be picked. The cyclist has yet to formally confirm they want to compete in Birmingham.

The DT is now in full campaign mode re the trans in sport issue.

I’d change the focus of the argue - that it is fine once we see females competing in male sports and winning. That would be equality.
But of course that would never happen due to female biology.
Instead of saying males shouldn’t be in female sport I would ask why females aren’t competing in the male arena.

We don't need tougher rules for men who say they are women in women's sport we just need to say NO. No amount of science will ever prove a man can compete fairly. They should put the science money into alternatives for those men.

My God that UCI statement just sounds more and more insane. Wait one more week and pay one more sovereign and the alchemist really will turn lead into gold!
