I live in London and would never go in ANY PUB on Oxford Street. I've read the Tripadvisor reports about the toilets and can't imagine that any woman would go there more than once.... :(
I boycotted the Greene King pub in Whitby because of the Glasgow thing, though, and will probably continue....

Me too - it’s the boozer equivalent of eating pizza by the slice a cart in Leicester Square. Touristy, dirty and definitely likely to cause gas…

I walk passed it a lot - I’m not sure when they went full rainbow yfronts (I assume it’s a staff preference) but the flag outside alone would put me off.

Clem Fandango and someone pulling pints in drag makeup would have definitely finished me off.

@HirplesWithHaggis I'm confused because Doctors pub in Edinburgh is owned by the Green King chain. If this is a separate incident than its an odd coincidence that two similar incidents happen in two different pubs owned by the same chain

I read yesterday it was Posie’s crew after the speakers corner event. The usual pub was closed apparently.

The group were leaving by the time the police were arriving. There was a Drag Queen setting up who made noises that they shouldn’t be there.

I'm just trying to get this straight.

A group of women walked into a pub on Oxford Street and had a few drinks. One or more members of staff took exception to their presence and summoned the police - why? Had they asked the women to go and the women refused? Had the women been accused of vandalism because of stickering? Do the police normally come to reprove people leaving stickers in the loos? Or was the mere presence of women with ribbons so threatening that they thought a hate crime was in process?

Do the Met normally turn out this promptly for this kind of alleged crime? I hear reports of police refusing to investigate burglaries and we all know how bad their records is on sexual assault.

This pub had the mayors rainbow happy poster in the window, bleugh. Meaning - women will only be tolerated or the tow to party line.
