They have obviously failed to do even the most basic of investigations, (or they would have quickly realised that the informant serving them that persistent urban myth was not to be trusted).

You seem to be making the basic mistake of assuming that the person a lot of gender critical people made up was the informant in this case actually was the informant. We have no idea who made the reports to the police and we likely never will.

Oddly, while I have just done a little digging, the grand total has not gone up as a result - indeed not by the amount of recorded donations since yesterday.

Hopefully it is just a glitch...

@oldwomanwhoruns

Getting this thread back on track -

The protest went really well. Posie had got some fabulous placards printed with good pithy text on both sides.

We protested on a handy small park/traffic island right outside the main Police station, and so all the cars which had to wait for the lights (it's quite a big traffic junction) were winding down their windows so that they could hear the speakers

Two police (including a DI) listened to all the speakers.

The local paper had a journalist there, who tweeted throughout the protest, to the newspaper.

Lots of photos on Posie's and WRN twitter. And the livestream on YouTube! Smile

Looks like another impressive turn out - seems to have made double figures (if you include the shopping trolley)

@WeeBisom

I'm surprised she's been charged with criminal damage, as you need to show an alteration to the property which affects its value or usefulness. Attaching a poster or sticker to a lamppost doesn't affect its utility. A far more suitable charge would be fly posting, which is subject to a fixed fine of a couple of hundred quid under the highways act 1980. It is indeed intriguing to note that certain stickers and posters are perfectly fine, even if a person calls the police to advertise their intent, but ones supporting women's rights are criminal.
WeeBisom indeed. It's just "thought police" isn't it. Some thoughts are fine apparently, gun wielding and being told to "shut the fuck up" bit other thoughts need to be checked 🤨 the whole thing is bizzare at best.

I have noticed this too. Its been at the same amount for a day or two. Maybe longer. I didnt actually write the amount down so not certain. Frustrating because I reckon by now she should have made the total already.

It was showing well over 40k and then literally dropped 5.5k the other day.

QueenSue · 01/02/2022 14:05

Why would the number drop? Weird.

Probably because many of the women who might go to these things have kids to collect from school and jobs they have to go to. I can't attend these things unless they are local. I do earn plenty of cash which I am happy to throw into women's legal funds though. ☺️

for the gardeners: twitter.com/WeAreFairCop/status/1487017735225761796?s=20&t=CR5biWFHeKDX_2mPOCVbtg

Thanks, Barb!

There were 80 odd there, plus intermittants.

That's a pretty good turnout then really.

Are we back to theres only six of us? You sure about that?
The shopping trolley identifies as at least two women.

There's a rally outside Netwport Police Station at 1.30 on 24 February to support Jen when she reports back to the station.

The organisers are asking people to wear Suffragette colours and to bring a 'seditious' book so that we can check the legality of our reading.

I'll try to post the info....

What happened to the gardening? It stopped at £36,863.

Olderbadger1 · 20/02/2022 12:54

So it did... and it appeared to go up and down randomly (but mostly down) before stopping. Can't find any updates or info from Fair Cop though?

Monitaurus · 20/02/2022 17:09

I have sometimes been out demonstrating with one other woman, Barley and it was still worth doing. The thing is women do listen and learn and conversations can be had in real life. Unlike certain people who get their kicks out of belittling women, telling us what to think and do and snipe from the sidelines.

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 20/02/2022 17:46

I've tried the link above and also searched crowdjustice and the Internet generally but I can't find Jenni Swayne's crowdfunder anywhere.
It's a wet and muddy afternoon, but I'd still like to do some gardening!
Has anyone got a signpost?

nauticant · 20/02/2022 18:06

I did a search for Jenni Swayne crowdfunder and it was the first hit. (Although that might not be the result for everyone.) Look for the word Democracy, or include it in your search.

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 20/02/2022 18:55

Found it! It's at democracythree.org
