So there's no crime but we just need to check your thinking, where have I heard that before 🤔🤔🤔

Another woman getting her thinking checked.

Arseholes. Police Scotland are an embarrassment.

Goatsaregreat · 29/01/2022 11:03

It's grim and an example of just how extremely dangerous Scottish politics has become for women.
I note that comments have still not been published. Presumably the monitors (OpenWeb) have decided that they'll be unable to censor the tsunami of outrage at the increasing Stasi tactics employed in Scotland.

GoatsareGOAT · 29/01/2022 11:12

I've just finished writing to my MSP about this - the SNP have systematically turned every good thing about Scotland to shit.

Abhannmor · 29/01/2022 11:12

This is getting tiresome. You'd think some senior police officer , possibly a female one would object to being used liked this ? We are being AngryAngrydragged back hundreds of years. Thomas More was executed for refusing to divulge the contents of his mind.

GoatsareGOAT · 29/01/2022 11:13

Goatsaregreat apologies I've just seen how similar my new name is, I'll change it again.

Bosky · 29/01/2022 11:15

Comments have started to appear on the Times article.

The Times monitors (OpenWeb) will have to take on extra staff - there are already over 1,400 comments on the Jenni Swayne article!

Do you think the Welsh and Scottish Police are in the pay of a "keep the UK united" anti-independence lobby??

If not, they are missing a trick not cashing in on their current Stasi tactics!

WarriorN · 29/01/2022 11:20

over 1,400 comments on the Jenni Swayne article!

Shock
StillWeRise · 29/01/2022 11:29

I can't see any comments- do you have to subscribe to see them?

TurquoiseBaubles · 29/01/2022 11:34

Assistant Chief Constable Gary Ritchie said: “Hate crime and discrimination of any kind is deplorable and entirely unacceptable. Police Scotland will investigate every report of a hate crime or hate incident.”

They are going to be very busy, especially as Wadwha claims “Since 2019, I have reported hate to the police more times than I can count. No charges, no convictions." - so no crimes then, but every one has been investigated. Is there such a thing as a malicious complainant? How often can someone like Wadwha cry wolf before the police stop wasting much needed resources?

TurquoiseBaubles · 29/01/2022 11:35

Until this week I could see comments if I opened the share token articles in an incognito window.

Now I can't see them at all.

334bu · 29/01/2022 11:35

Why were detectives sent all the way from Edinburgh to a village outside Perth? What a waste of expertise and time!

Goatsaregreat · 29/01/2022 11:37

@GoatsareGOAT

Goatsaregreat apologies I've just seen how similar my new name is, I'll change it again.
No problem. I didn't even notice Grin

They've published the comments now. Even mine, which has surprised me as it's and angry one.
IncompleteSenten · 29/01/2022 11:51

I think the police force has a shockingly high number of abusive misogynistic wankers who are just loving the opportunities to harass women.

Omicrone · 29/01/2022 11:56

What the fuck?!

Masdintle · 29/01/2022 12:03

I haven't been able to see the comments in the last week or so on shared articles - and still can't. Shame, they're the best bit and reassure me that we're not alone in thinking all this is bonkers.

Comments are being allowed now.

Thanks - but I still can't see them

I cannot see the comments either, have tried a few times when links have been posted. Shame.
aweegc · 29/01/2022 12:55

Also can't see comments (reading via sharetoken).

PandorasMailbox · 29/01/2022 12:58

I had to refresh the page a few times to be able to see them.

yourhairiswinterfire · 29/01/2022 13:44

Utterly ridiculous.

The police say they have to investigate every hate crime or incident that is reported, but that shouldn't mean all common sense goes out the window. If they determine that no crime has been committed, that should be the end of it, no?

Knowing Nicola hadn't done anything wrong but turning up to ''have a word'' anyway makes it look like their intention is to intimidate women into silence, to put them off speaking up in future...
