He's going in!

Here's his complaint in response to a tweet from the South West branch of the LGBTQ Police Network.

I'll add the tweet if I can find it.

One thing about this whole identity politics palaver is that it's greatly increasing my enjoyment of early 20th century political dystopian fiction.

Thanks TAs! Grin

RepentMotherfucker · 15/01/2022 19:40

And MN. Honorable mention Wink

@LilithOfEden

Oh well, I hate. I have gone from a typical liberal, lefty, live and let live type, to feeling pure hatred towards everyone attacking the rights of women and girls; be it in your face TRAs, or useless, uncritical journalists, women hating police, stupid, unthinking medical and educational staff, lefty, beardy, misogynist men and cool girls wanting to be in the cool gang.

If any police reading this wish to PM me for my details, go ahead. I'd love to see you in court. Funnily enough, I channel my hatred via polite discussion, donation and legal activism, not through issuing rape and death threats on Twitter, terrorising gatherings of women, bringing vexatious court proceedings designed to harass, intimidate and wear down ordinary women exercising their right to speak freely or attacking people in the street. But yes, I am oh so dangerous to you lot, because you can't wear me down. And you can't wear down the women on this board - who represent the majority.

Standing ovation

Sex is binary, immutable and real
Gender is a social construct
Transwomen are transwomen
Single sex spaces are lawful and needed
Womanhood cannot be identified into, it is the product of biology and lived experience that males can never authentically access.
Trans people have the right to live life free of harassment and prejudice.
Advancing trans rights cannot come at the expense of womens rights

JustcameoutGC and LilithofEden have nailed this.

I think we ought to have a day of action and ALL hand ourselves in to our local police stations up and down the country, saying that men are not women.

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/01/2022 20:22

I suggest that those on Twitter report MimmyBirthingParent for targetted harrassment of Mumsnet. Even if you're blocked, you can report the account.

Absolutely bang on post.

I suspect that the Police target women peacefully discussing their views because we're an easy target. It's a wee bit too scary and inconvenient to monitor and investigate those who are threatening pipe bombs, screaming into people's faces at peaceful protests and setting off smokebombs to intimidate academics.

Far easier to harass women than to actually address institutional misogyny and sexism and robustly challenge violence against women. As a pp said, why bother to do that when you can stick a rainbow on everything and pat yourself on the back for protecting the 'most vulnerable group in society'. Just a quick reminder that 3 women a week are killed in the UK.

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2022 20:39

Oh my God have the police got nothing better to do and do they realise that Mumsnet is an international forum? Are they going to come and extradite me if I post something they don't agree with? I can't believe this bullshit.

SignOnTheWindow · 15/01/2022 20:41

At school in Wales, friends and I reported a man watching us through binoculars and wanking. It was brushed under the carpet on account of him being a 'family man'. I don't trust the Welsh police as far as I could throw them. Mysogynistic fuckers. Ffyc i Ffwrdd indeed.

@EarthSight

I think I know which survey they meant. I'm pretty sure it was on the Relationship board, unless I'm mistaken.

Errrrrm nope. It is this one...

OhLordyWhatNow · 15/01/2022 22:05

Nope as in not on relationships board.

Yes you are mistaken

PandorasMailbox · 16/01/2022 04:19

@MrBIobby

It would be pretty grim DialSquare. They think they're on the side of good. All I can see is someone filled with hate and an over inflated idea of self importance. I wonder how they managed in the days before social media was available to validate them.
Anti-depressants and gin
PandorasMailbox · 16/01/2022 04:26

If by transphobic @BlueberryCheezecake, you actually mean factual, we'll await the summons in the post.

For someone who hates women speaking the truth, you certainly seem to spend a lot of time stinking up a site populated by us.

IndigoToo · 16/01/2022 05:28

Just popping in to wait for @BlueberryCheezecake to give examples of the rampant transphobia that they assure everyone is all over MN. Curious as to why it is taking soooooo long, considering we have been assured it is everywhere here?

I actually think it’s marvellous that a police force will be reading our arguments. How else could we get the attention of the police?

I don’t exactly see the combined police forces of England and Wales consulting with women’s groups on how to improve policing for women, and even if they did, which official women’s group is as intelligent, educated, thoughtful, and aware of a huge array of issues for women from all walks of life, as FWR?

I sometimes suspect mimmybirthingparent is an undercover radical feminists.

EishetChayil · 16/01/2022 09:05

I don't trust the police.

They have infiltrated every left-wing civil rights movement I have been involved with for decades, trying to bring us down.

The fact that they've embraced the Pride movement so openly made me immediately suspicious of it. If it were really a radical movement with an intention to challenge the ruling structures, there's no way the police would have embraced it so publicly.

NitroNine · 16/01/2022 10:02

As PPs have said, for all “holding the Office of Constable means a police officer executes their duty independently, without fear or favour” the police do look a wee bit silly actively & aggressively pursuing women for, um, scary ribbons/their noisy insistence women have rights/children need safeguarding/Not Being Kind when those on whose behalf they’re acting are, in many cases, demanding they be abolished & publicly abusing them. How does that work, anyway? “Abolish these terrible people I totally hate - but until that happens, I will demand they do my bidding”. Even though I claim they can’t be trusted & - again, in some cases - are an active risk to my community.

@JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon
To be fair, doesn’t getting paid to MumsNet sound much MUCH nicer than having to try to solve actual crimes? Or indeed plenty of other jobs, really… bet they get an endless supply of Good Biscuits (paid for by the taxpayer) too.

Can't wait for the next season of The Line Of Duty...

Fewer car chases and tension built with tales of dodgy wifi?

Big twist - "they had an edit button all along, Sarge!"

Because then they'd have to be able to prove in court there's no transphobic content on their forums and that would be extremely difficult given, well, the content.

You've had 24 hrs @BlueberryCheezecake did you find any yet?

It doesn't take 24 hours does it? I mean how long does it take to set up a disposable email address, sign up to Mumsnet, say something transphobic, screenshot it, and post it here (or on twitter)? Ten minutes, max?
CuriousaboutSamphire · 16/01/2022 18:58

Yeah but, erm, well, errr....

Smile

Not such a clever clogs after all. Never mind.

GiantKitten · 16/01/2022 21:36

@bordermidgebite

You didn't get it do you?

I can trust the police and accept at the same time that the police force can never be perfect

It's not that only the met go bad , it's just years ago the met would take police who had been given the choice of leave the force or go to London , which means that it had a much higher proportion of bad eggs

@bordermidgebite

Have you a link for that, please? It sounds unbelievable, and yet…Hmm

oldwomanwhoruns · 17/01/2022 11:34

Ok, how about some ACTION?

Police forces have Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs)
Most seem to be very specific, eg an LGBTQ IAG, or a disability IAG, or a youth IAG.

How about we all contact our police (via our elected representatives, the PCCs) and ask (politely) that as there are 9 protected characteristics in the equality act, 2 of which are pertinent to our sex (ie sex, and pregnancy/maternity), they therefore need to set up a dedicated WOMAN'S IAG.

And that this means women of the female sex only, because the protected characteristics is sex?

Check first that they don't already have such a group of course!! We could ask to be considered for membership of this group please, too.

Let's all do this Smile

Chersfrozenface · 17/01/2022 11:53

Interestingly South Wales Police are currently advertising for a volunteer to join the force's Strategic Independent Advisory Group
www.south-wales.police.uk/police-forces/south-wales-police/areas/campaigns/campaigns/equality-and-human-rights-volunteering-opportunity/#:~:text=The%20South%20Wales%20Police%20Strategic%20Independent%20Advisory%20Group%20(IAG)%20performs,with%20the%20communities%20we%20serve.

One paragraph from this page reads:
"We need the membership of the Strategic IAG to be as representative as possible of the diverse communities across our three policing areas, in line with the Equality Act 2010. As such, will be looking to draw membership from each of the three areas that can offer localised experience of the protected characteristics listed in the Act."

Readers will note the repeated mention of the 2010 Act.

If anyone living or working in their area has the time...
