He seems to have waded in on the trans/schools row. He isn't listening to the many, many replies and is doubling down in the weirdest way.

I absolutely get why we're all angry with Tom and his lack of grey matter but let's turn this into a positive by celebrating Mercy's insight.

I think TH can be added to the list of gay male misogynists who seem to have such rage when women talk about this issue and refuse to shut up.

James Max, Peter Tatchell, Owen Jones, Michael Cashman, Ben Cohen, Benjamin Butterworth, Adrian Harrop. There’s probably more I’ve forgotten about.

I often wonder what this is about. I know there is prejudice against effeminate men from other gay men. "Masc4masc", "no fems" etc on dating profiles.

Amongst lesbians there's prejudice against butches but also a percentage of women who only date butches. Not sure if there's the equivalent for gay men, especially when the camp guys get too old to be classed as twinks. But I honestly don't know.

I'm guessing the ability to hive off the feminine gay men into transwomen is something they defend because it makes the average of all gay men more masculine? Or maybe it's an internalised homophobia thing, and screaming queens/camp guys/very feminine or effeminate guys are just the wrong type of gay?

What I really don't understand is the conflation of the two Blanchard types by these genderist gay men. Surely they'd want to establish clear blue water between the two?

Did you notice that in the debate with Calvin Robinson, Tom Harwood said this:

That makes the prevalence to be 0.016%. That's a factor of around 20 to 30 lower than the oft-reported 0.3-0.5% that's become standard.

The 0.016% figure looks broadly in line with the prevalence numbers that gave the 5,000 transsexuals in the GRA debates. It seems that Harwood means gender instead of sex and transsexual instead of transgender. Also, is Harwood implying that there is a very small number of "trans kids" and the vast majority of trans people are adult transitioners? That's T*-y territory?

People arguing to support gender identity ideology will say any old shit if it supports their argument.

Also in relation to the 2000 trans children - there are 5000 on the GIDS waiting list alone. Add in all those who are simply self-identifying with no medical treatment, as well as those who are currently attending various gender clinics and the numbers must be much, much higher.

I know year groups of under 100 where more than a dozen identify as "trans" - that's 10% in some schools.

Added to which 1 "transgirl" in a school can have a detrimental effect on hundreds of girls if the end result is removal of single sex spaces, whether the result is one male body with access to the girl's changing rooms or a complete replacement of all single sex spaces with mixed sex (as appears to be happening all over Ireland at the moment).

It's good to see that Mercy isn't alone at GB News. As well as Calvin Robinson (who was knowledgeable and clear) the other male presenter contributed really useful information.
There's a massive sea change happening. Take a look at the comments under the DM's article about Boswell School and the comments in yesterday's Times under the article about the GDST decision about retaining single sex schools - there are thousands of comments from men as well as women horrified at what's happening. Men are starting to get this and to speak up. It's great to see.

I finally got to see the full interview. KJK was very precise and very direct.

I don’t think he has realized that on that occasion and later on, he is wholly relying on ‘be nice’ as a reason.

He's a one-trick pony with "anything other than case-by-case is discriminatory and incredibly unfair". That's why he needs his "there are very few trans people", because this means the burden of carrying out case-by-case assessments isn't insanely burdensome.

Running the argument in that way means being dishonest. When anyone appears to be in danger of revealing the dishonesty he gets angry.

She wasn't rude just very forthright about how this impacts girls which Tom was not interested in hearing and clearly didn't care about. She is completely correct that language has obfuscated what is happening.

Let me illustrate.

Measure the body length of 1000 domestic rabbits and 1000 domestic dogs.

Plot them as length distributions. A tiny dog may well be within the ‘rabbit length’ range.

A tiny dog is not, in fact, a rabbit. You are not mapping a dog-rabbit species spectrum
