As far as I can make out Graham Norton called Eddie ‘he’.

A few people are screaming ‘cancel’ but most are saying ‘but he is a he’.

Most people are right.

I thought he said he's not bothered about pronouns anyway? Especial as he's going to continue to represent male roles in his acting career

Eddie Izzard was very clear in a Guardian interview that some days he is a man and some days he is a woman and he loves it when he is a woman and gets cat called and can then turn his big (male - my word) body around and scare off white van men.

I remember this very clearly because the interview about how much he enjoyed being a woman with broad shoulders and a deep voice who could scare off male pesterers was in The Guardian the day Sarah Everard was found. The woke tossers at The Guardian failed to realise how hideously tone deaf and misogynist that juxtaposition was;.

But Eddie male when he wants to be (aren't we all? ) so I doubt he would squeal at Norton's pronouns.

But in the clip shown on the Graham Norton show Eddie Izzard was playing a male role. So he (Graham) said "oh there's Eddie he looks like a he there"

It was an accurate observation, why has this upset people....

It's hilarious seeing the faux outrage from people insisting that Norton should be cancelled because he misgendered Izzard.

Eddie doesn't seem to care, he hasn't commented on this. Previously he has talked about being in girl mode and boy mode and he will take male roles when it suits him. That's male privilege for you.

Same with the annual "outraged and offended on behalf of" every November that reckon Muslims take issue with wearing poppies and such. I've yet to meet a single, solitary Muslim or a single person that has so much has uttered a mere grumble about Remembrance Sunday other than because of these people that pop up all outraged and offended every year around late October until mid November.

They're everywhere and yet there's fuck all sign of them anywhere it's incredible.

I didn't realise he took himself too seriously. That's disappointing.

I always loved the fact that he would wear dresses and skirts and make-up and still just be a man and it was no big deal.

PS the reason I hate Eddie Izzard so much is that his twattish self righteous behaviour on Question Time the eve of the Brexit vote - when he chose to personally ridicule and attack Nigel Farage rather than address peoples concerns about immigration nearly made ME vote for Brexit (I didn't). He dresses in a pink beret and lipstick on question time and demands to be called "she" but a tuxedo and male pronouns when acting or performing in the US. He has an ego the size of the planet. I actually bloody loved him once - in the Action Transvestite days of old - when he used to declare "these aren't women's clothes, they are my clothes".

Exactly, I assume that's what he was talking to Graham Norton to plug - a male role. Haven't looked yet, but how was EI dressed for the appearance? EI has repeatedly said EI is not bothered about pronouns. I have been a huge fan of EIs but this more than most things highlights the complete nonsense of all this. This silliness will follow EI round now whatever EI does. I'm glad EI can ignore it but seems EI will be the only one...

I gather since my previous post that Eddie was being spoken about, and not to.

Obviously if Eddie were on the promo circuit for this things would be cleared up, it will be interesting to see how things are handled if there are any live interviews .

The more I see, the more I gather it very much seems as if Eddie is not arsed either way. Which is all well and good - it makes a change and Eddie does seem to want to lower tensions - but the more I think about it the more it seems like throwing a grenade over your shoulder and walking off.

I haven't seen the GN clip but I would assume they were discussing the Netflix series he's currently in (Stay Close). He's playing a male role and he has said himself he doesn't mind which pronouns are used to of course GN used he when they're discussing a male role.
