Fabulous

FrancescaContini · 30/12/2021 18:06

Really happy to see this!

JKR1 · 30/12/2021 18:06

Joanne should have won, she's done more for women this year than anyone else by far.

PronounssheRa · 30/12/2021 18:07

I bet that stung, how long before the American staff plus owen jones have a tantrum

WomanStillNotAFeeling · 30/12/2021 18:07

That’s actually a good article and handled it well

TooWicked · 30/12/2021 18:08

Excellent, and congratulations Michelle of Wiltshire for having your reason for nomination published - you summed it up wonderfully!

MichelleScarn · 30/12/2021 18:09

Absolutely fantastic!! Sadly not the Michelle who's nomination they used!

Blackandwhitehorse · 30/12/2021 18:12

She must have had a sizeable number of votes for them to include her, and they way it was highlighted in the opening paragraph was good I thought.

I also thought the other people on the list were brilliant, just goes to show the general public are at odds with the media.

Splendid. Reflects the majority views on reality and female rights.

NoNever · 30/12/2021 18:42

Oooh, you can tell they really really really didn’t want to include her but knew it would blow up on Twitter if they didn’t. Their snarky, look at all these worthy people nominated and “in a sign of debate on gender issues” that witch JKR got mentioned too.

userisi2 · 30/12/2021 18:43

I am SO pleased, especially with all the Harry Potter media atm which I gather is sans JKR....the flipping person who created it all and made them rich and famous.

CiaoForDiNiaoSaur · 30/12/2021 18:47

Wonderful Wonderful. A great list of suggestions I think.

Goatsaregreat · 30/12/2021 18:50

Great to see such an inspiring group of people. And good to see the that the Guardian have openly represented the truth of public opinion - I always like it when they remember their mission in life and are creeping back to being an ethical news source.

Omicrone · 30/12/2021 18:51

Ha ha, brilliant!

It covers everything very well
BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 30/12/2021 18:52

Great that they included her. They had to acknowledge this, so this seems the most sensible way.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 30/12/2021 18:53

Hows their twitter looking?

CouldBeHere · 30/12/2021 18:54

This is really heartening to see. The swell of public opinion.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/12/2021 18:58

Good - I'm really glad they've come up with a good list inc JKR.

ChateauMargaux · 30/12/2021 19:05

Well done Michelle! You did a good job!

And great to see that Ranboo made the list because he got a lot of votes on Twitter too!!

Isn’t it great that we have someone we can point to and say... She Speaks For Us!!

BraveBananaBadge · 30/12/2021 19:17

Ooh, "centring women and children" rather than "controversial anti-trans views", at last.

Great to see. Thanks to Michelle from Wiltshire! Let's hope it's staring to sink in.

nocoolnamesleft · 30/12/2021 19:20

Brilliant.

KittenKong · 30/12/2021 19:21

Interesting selection of people - not who I’d have suspected the guardian types to vote for. None of the ones I would have suspected.

2Rebecca · 30/12/2021 19:23

I heard she actually got the most votes so they had to scrap having an actual competition but I can't remember where I read that

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 30/12/2021 19:24

Fabulous.
