I always assumed that Jo March was a Mumsnetter. Her Times comments are so clear and incisive it would be a great pity if she hadn't found these boards too!

I think Small Gods is Pratchett's masterwork. I often think about it in relation to gender ideology - those who espouse it, those who truly believe it, those who exploit it for power or status, those it harms, and those who stand up to it.
