Anti Kathleen Stock campaign - tips

The group set up specifically to harass Kathleen Stock has some tips for anyone who may find the hounding and targeting of a woman stressful and overwhelming:

'We recommend travelling to and from the protest in groups, this makes sure that police and security are less likely to harass you, or that if they do you will not be alone, and alsO ensures that you will have people to emotionally Support you if at any point you become stressed or Overwhelmed.'

This advice appears to be aimed at the group being incited to harass Professor Stock, rather than the victim/target or any other women identified as 'terfs'. Odd, that. One might think that being targeted by balaclava-wearing anonymous groups of males might be 'stressful and overwhelming' for women, but I suppose we don't count as humans worthy of respect or consideration.

The stress and anxiety felt by penis waving pavement 'artists ' and bellowing, screeching bullies is often underestimated. Perhaps HMG could give Stonewall a massive grant to set up a counselling service of some kind.

But women clearly don't exist. They are subhuman. They don't have emotional responses, don't require support, police protection, mental health support, compassion, understanding, legal protection, job protection.

They are all just service providers, there to give, give, give. Affirm and validate.

Or be torn down, cancelled, screamed at or destroyed if they ask questions or say 'no'.

Yeah, but once the terfs are identified they are no longer human, they are the enemy to be destroyed and deserve all they get.

Of course the righteous must indulge in a bit of self care while they carry out gods their work so they can continue the good fight.

Sadly, those are sentiments that are actually expressed by some people.

Confirms to me that this is not being organised by the students. This is being orchestrated quite deliberately by someone with a great deal of experience in violent protest.

If you disagree with someone’s views you can write a blog post, tweet or letter examining their argument and explaining why you think it is wrong. That’s absolutely fine.

Unfortunately that’s not what is happening.

Excluding people from single sex spaces built for and used by members of the opposite sex really isn't excluding, any more than it is exclusionary to ban people untrained in medicine from becoming doctors or ban children from collecting the old age pension.

That is not the result of people 'challenging' someone's views. That's the result of directly, repeatedly threatening, harassing and abusing.

I don't know, Andante. The group has not been taken off Instagram, still posting quite merrily, despite people reporting their posts for targetted harassment. I very much hope stuff is going on behind the scenes wrt police involvement etc.

This is so horrible, why do the authorities not take this seriously? If they were planning a terrorist attack, the police would be all over them. But because their targets are women it's somehow ok!?

I have reported this Insta page and suggest others do the same.

I did once email her a message of solidarity, and got a very nice reply.

My dinosaur t-shirt and writing nice postcards now seem a bit feeble in response to this violent hatred.
