I pumped because I had to return to work.
the image in that first link instantly sullies the memories (full of guilt already)
Nothing is safe from fetishism.

EarthSight · 22/05/2022 19:06

@Truthlikeness That bit stood out to me too.

tkwal · 22/05/2022 19:12

No no no no no. Having read this I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. I can't believe that some of this perverted (as in trying to change traditionally recognised positions/beliefs ) nonsense is being given credence by some (hitherto)respected professionals

I am not transphobic. I know that there are people who have been born into the "wrong" body and I fully support them in their battle to be allowed to be themselves ,including counselling, hormone treatment, sex reassignment surgery and associated aftercare and plastic surgery for feminisation/masculinisation of features. None of that is easy and neither is it ever lightly entered into

What I object to is those who claim to "identify" in order to access areas which previously felt like safe spaces , trying to insist that such places should be open to everyone, that we all should be viewed as intersex without barriers or recognition that the obvious physiological barriers and differences exist. Is it going to be the case that we are going to have to have 4 categories ? Man, Woman,Transwoman and Transman ?. I know some transwomen who wouldn't be comfortable sharing a confined space with a person with male characteristics who is self identifying as a woman and vice versa.

Is Law going to be dictated by perception rather than fact? Are we going to see the destruction of democracy because of an overly vocal and influential micro-minority?
Are REAL victims of all kinds of discrimination going to be set aside to placate this noisy clique? Are we REALLY going to kowtow to their strident insistence that they are right and anyone who disagrees is wrong and must be corrected?

I truly hope not

I saw the first image on twitter last autumn two clicks away from an innocuous lgbtq / pride promoting post. At the time I was still bf and felt sick to the stomach as the thought that anyone could do that was beyond me. I reported it and nothing happened. I now know twitter = porn. Film clips of a child being sexually abused were recently taken down after I reported them but not before 1000s of likes and what felt like a bloody long time. It also wasn't clear how to report csa via twitter.

Apart from the obvious it really bothers me that a teen could see an otherwise (now) fairly normal lgbtq company post as as a result of clicking a couple of replies can get to this.

I really bloody hate twitter.

I avoid porn, I'm no prude and I'm not sheltered but I hate how it's shoehorned into everything. I hate how normal it's become and I hate how it's made more extraordinary sex mainstream. This is something else though. If this doesn't pull at your gut and scream dangerous agenda I really think there is something wrong with you. I'm not just talking about breastfeeding mothers or even women in general. Anyone seeing that and thinking Meh harmless kink is fucked up.

Musomama1 · 22/05/2022 21:34

Can mumsnet please remove posts from posters referring to women as 'cis'. It's 'misgendering'(!) & offending the staggering majority of posters on this board. I mean, my post got deleted for just saying that transwomen are transsexual or simply cross-dressing men, so ya know, fair's fair right?

It's very silly to assume all trans men are autogynephiles. If women could support each other better instead of tearing each other down we'd all be much more secure in our own identity and the transphobes would stop pretending trans people are mentally unwell or pose a threat to them.

Language used about women including trans women is still evolving and although articles like this highlight why cis women are left out or not specified when talking about women, they're doing more harm than good and aren't actually tackling the problem.

This is what is really happening so why should there not be articles about it? It's not suggesting that all TW are autogynephiles but it would be dangerous to pretend that none are as that would be to pretend that no single TW poses a threat to women which, even if you don't consider the threat some pose when they decide they have a right to enter protected female spaces, is clearly not true.

Women are trying to support women but TW keep trying to prevent that as they want it to be "supporting TW and women" and can't accept a no when they hear it.

Musomama1 · 22/05/2022 21:43

I haven't got the stomach to read this. The AGP thing is interesting though. As another poster said, it's like a fetish we all just kind of ignore. I mean, where do you draw the line here because people like Eddie Izzard and Grayson Perry wear women's clothing, are they AGP? And is that really a problem unless it's extreme and hurting someone else?

Extreme or not though, I would really not like someone with AGP however to come into women's spaces as naturally that seems inappropriate. How do the TR lot argue this and the kink aspect?

That was a male who was indeed simulating pregnancy. And still birth if I remember correctly.

Simulating a stillbirth?

Dear God.

Basketet · 22/05/2022 21:48

Why the fuck is our government not doing anything about this? Or are all these supposed highly educated and moral politicians not giving a fuck because they 1)don't like women 2)don't value mothers 3)are perverse ?

Helleofabore · 22/05/2022 21:52

Yes Francesca

iirc this male also was talking of getting the drugs to enable galactorrhea (to induce male lactation in this instance). There apparently were mothers offering up their babies to ‘feed’ of this male’s breasts. I think at least one offered up their 5 month old.

Justcashnosweets · 22/05/2022 21:52

I fear for my lovely 8 year old daughter. What a world to grow up in, where a woman is reduced to bodily functions and parts. Makes me sick.

Beggars belief.

ItsLateHumpty · 23/05/2022 08:42

In that YouTube clip, is that a transwoman trying to feed a baby while their partner, a transman (and I’m assuming the actual mother of said baby), watches?

If so, it kinda makes some sense of why to me the transmans body language seems ‘off’. They look a little anxious, like they want to step in but are holding back.

It’s all just so fucked up.

Nobody is born in the 'wrong body'. Some people, for a multitude of reasons, have genuine distress about their sex. There is no good quality evidence that the best way of alleviating this distress in the long term is by medical and surgical transition, which itself carries many risks.

FrancescaContini · 23/05/2022 11:40

I don’t understand those who support the “born in the wrong body” idea/delusion. It makes no sense. It’s not possible to “be born in the wrong body”. How do you prove it to a medic?

If it were the case, are there people out there bemoaning being born into the “wrong” family/historical period/country/skin or eye colour and demanding “intervention” to right this “wrong”?

tkwal · 25/05/2022 14:21

DrDinosaur
I'm not sure of all the correct terminology but I do know there have been people who have been born with both sets of genitals (or parts of both) and have been declared to be one or the other at birth due to the external appearance. As they have reached maturity they sometimes feel they are in the wrong body, which is why I used that term
