Alex Phillips and most of the female presenters really seem to get it and are allowed to say so!

The GB News presenters are really are getting to grips with this issue, but I do wish they would challenge the lies of people like Tatchell; yet again he insists they have been ‘no problems’ with self ID in other countries, among other falsehoods. He and his ilk need to be robustly challenged.

Is that the lady who was in UKIP then the Brexit Party?. Now nigel is on GB news it must feel like a bit of a reunion over at gab news. Favourite presenter is Neil Oliver though but I’ve always had a lot of time for Nigel Farage. He comes across as so thoughtful but jovial at the same time :)

Not intended as a criticism of the GC position (which for the most part I agree with) but, fucking hell, the idea of sitting and nodding along to NewsGB and Farage - a pound shop Oswald Moseley - makes me queasy.

One does not have to agree with 100% of a person’s opinions in order to ally with them on a single issue.
I worked alongside Communists, Tories, Lib Dems and Labour supporters to fight for the UK against SNP separatism in the indy referendum. I did not agree with all of them on everything- that would have been a logical impossibility! - but we happily combined forces against our common enemy. The war on women is no different.

I stopped watching GB News because of Farage.

But then started again because of Andrew Doyle.

Not at all, thedancingbear. My enemy’s enemy is my friend, etc. One does not have to agree with 100% of a person’s opinions in order to ally with them on a single issue. The thing is you have to be careful that what your enemy's enemy is saying is actually the same (or close enough to) as what you're saying. There can be more than two positions on an issue, and two or more of those can be equally offensive.

In this case, it's obviously tempting to rejoice when hearing the right fight against trans rights, since it's become (sadly) a kind of zero sum game between those and women's rights. But if you actually dig a little below the surface of what these people believe - and particularly, if you look at it in the context of the overall "war on woke" that the Tories are transparently stoking as the next source of social division to win them the next election - you find yourself a long way from the kind of open-minded equality I suspect most on this board aspire to.

I despair when I see so many feminists align themselves with the "anti-woke" just because of the singular coincidence of this one issue, apparently completely oblivious to the fact that feminism itself is (in the anti-woke army's minds) the original and biggest woke bogeyman to be killed. Cos society's "swung the other way" and is so hard on all the poor downtrodden middle aged white men, don't you know.

I'm not a communist so I don't agree with the Morning Star on all political issues, but I agree with them on this one in confidence that we mean the same thing - that male privilege and female disadvantage still exist, and that we should not compromise the fight against it for the sake of a very dubious and unscientific quasi-psychological ideology.

I'm not convinced Nigel Farage understands it that way at all; in fact I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

It's entirely consistent to say, 'I am GC but I will have no truck with GB News, because they are a rabble of vile bigots'.

Just as St Winalots sang, There's No One Quite Like Gandma, so there's no one so vile as Farage. GB News have taken him on in a desperate attempt to get some eyeballs to satisfy their investors and advertisers.

The rest of GB are a mixed bunch. I don't think anyone can object to Ray Mears, for example.

CNN also get on my nerves sometimes with their 'pregnant people' and Pro-Megan garbage. But they have good journos and are worth a sceptical watch.

At this point we need all the coverage we can get. If GB News can get discussion going we will have moved beyond No Debate. If it was being properly debated across all media perhaps we wouldn't be watching it on GB News but we are not there yet.

I know that "GB News is all vile bigots" is a popular view in the extreme left twittersphere, but I've watched a fair bit of it and come to the conclusion that most of those people are being riled by each other and certainly haven't watched more than out of context clips on social media. Indeed, it strikes me as the exact same argument as "all GC people are vile transphobes".

I don't agree with everything I hear from presenters on GB News, but to say that they're peddling racist/homophobic/whatever hatred and are far right is just a silly notion. I don't agree with everything said on BBC or Sky News, either.
