Bet Kier can't wait for his smear

Theendoftheworldisnigh · 26/09/2021 22:30

I've seen a trans website define a biological woman's vagina as a "front hole" and a transwoman's neovagina as a "vagina". This is already happening. Apparently transwomen are the real thing, and biological women aren't.

AdditionalCharacter · 26/09/2021 23:12

@StillWeRise

PFWAC person formerly with a cervix
So a bit like Prince? Should I start dressing in purple?

Isn't a woman's front hole a urethra? Confused
PickAChew · 26/09/2021 23:18

@AdditionalCharacter

Oh dear, I no longer have a cervix. What do I address myself as, seeing as the word woman is slowly being deleted by society?
[person]

For as long as we're still afforded such a high status

WomaninBoots · 26/09/2021 23:20

Perhaps [body xx] for when we're looking pretty.

Biological facts! Literal " violets" !!!!!

NiceGerbil · 27/09/2021 02:24

Already happens.

If had the serious surgery. Remove male genitalia, create a hole.

Then it's important to have internal swabs etc to check for infection and etc. I'm no expert in exactly what and how.

This is not a smear obviously.

But as with
Men get PND
Male menopause

There's no inclination to have a new term to describe what is not the same as the female experience.

So. Yes. Tw have smears.

There you go.

It seems the criteria is.

An orifice that can have a cock in it.

Funny that.

NiceGerbil · 27/09/2021 02:27

Female biology is passé. Irrelevant, meaningless.

(Except in the numerous situations where it means life/ death, risk, being treated crappily etc).

TheIrritableGoldfish · 27/09/2021 03:13

@Acatcalledcharlie

A HCP told me that I had a beautiful cervix once perfectly round (pre kids obvs).

Sigh, it's been a particularly sad day today in the fight for Women's Rights. Its all rather exhausting!

My midwife said I have an 'incompetent cervix' nice.
crumpet · 27/09/2021 03:27

India Willoughby has just offered up their cervix to be examined on live tv…

NiceGerbil · 27/09/2021 03:33

I also had an incompetent cervix.

Due to having a colp at 16 due to cell changes.

That it transpires are not indicative of any issues in teens. Esp if they smoke.

So there you go.

I also cite.

Geriatric mother.
Failure to progress.

Probably more.

WarriorN · 27/09/2021 05:26

I was told that, just had 6 monthly punch biopsies till it had all gone though.

Nurse apologised on behalf of previous clinical judgements. Only recently though.

Idyllic · 27/09/2021 05:46

Crazy times, we've definitely gone through the looking glass with all this.

Watching TV last night and DH was skipping through the channels. He briefly stopped on 'drag karaoke' and he commented that it could be seen as offensive to women - like an over exaggerated caricature of them.

Why do (some) men hate women so much to reduce them to describing them as basically bodies with holes?

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 27/09/2021 05:59

Because we're phenomenal, phenomenal women are we.

Off topic, but just to reassure some PPs - “incompetent” is a medical term, not a judgmental one!
It is applied to leaking heart valves, to distinguish them from stenosed ones, and to a cervix that is at risk of not remaining closed for the full duration of pregnancy, risking premature delivery.
Likewise, an “unfavourable” cervix at induction of labour means one that is long, firm, closed and uneffaced.
As a retired doctor, I’ve already emailed the Lancet to complain about their crass and shocking use of “bodies with vaginas” for women. As a Tory voter, I don’t care what nonsense Starmer and his shadow cabinet spout - it’s a great vote earner for us!

I went through fertility tests. I 'failed to conceive': truth be told my XHs sperm was crap but the phrasing was ever so delicate.
AlfonsoTheMango · 27/09/2021 09:03

@EmbarrassingAdmissions

I'd previously have thought this gratuitous and unusual but it seems like a neo-cervix is a thing (I have no idea if India has one).

It's not unusual for people to understand cervix as a reference to the cervical spine. (A frequently rehearsed argument on FWR as to why referring to "people with a cervix" is of limited usefulness for health communications.)

My issue is with the "neo cervix" and not with you, @EmbarrassingAdmissions. It might be a pseudo cervix but it is not a neo cervix as it is not new but might approximate the look of a real cervix although it has no function and can never have any function.

The same with the term "neo vagina". It is not a new vagina; it is a surgically created blind opening that requires dilating to stay open as the body treats it as a wound and tries to heal it by closing over.

Words matter.

Sermon over.

GianaSister · 27/09/2021 09:10

Reminds me of this.

South Park, as always, spot on with its observations and ahead of the curve, observing this back in 2005

ginghamstarfish · 27/09/2021 09:51

Please tell me there is no such thing as a 'neo cervix'! Of all the bonkers things about this whole topic ... the cervix is the neck of the uterus if I'm not mistaken, not sure how it can be 'manufactured' from men's tackle or internal organs. FFS.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/09/2021 09:54

Quite.

Imnobody4 · 27/09/2021 10:20

GianaSister Thanks for sharing that video.Grin

334bu · 27/09/2021 12:30

The lower, narrow end of the uterus that forms a canal between the uterus and vagina.
As the definition above shows the cervix is a canal between two things, therefore when a neo vagina is formed using an inverted penis, there can be no cervix and if a pseudo cervix were to be fabricated, what would it be made from?
