I won't report that post, I'll just comment that it's probably one of the nastiest I have ever had the misfortune to see on MN.

Celebrating a woman - not yet even having entered a plea, never mind having been tried - who is losing her family home in her attempt to fund her right to fair trial.

Did Marion get any money? If they are not giving the money to the person it was raised for, is it not fraud for the platform to keep it and use it for their own design? It should be advertised that the donors can reverse it rather than some platform geezers pocketing it.

I wish someone with the know how would set up a platform which would crowdfund for women. Men have organised globally to influence legislation which damages women. Could women set up fundraising platforms to protect our rights and which these sleazy fellows can't sabotage? These cases are so important for us and women going forward.

Marion's Twitter account has gone.

It's saying the account no longer exists.

If that's the case she has deactivated it. I don't blame her for wanting a break from the online frenzy, and she may have thought/been advised it was wise in terms of the case.

Yes. Maybe she wants to regroup and find a way so that these dodgy fellows can't keep trying to sabotage women resisting this extreme men's rights agenda.

I wonder if Marion knows how many women around the world support her and can see this witch-hunt for what it is. I can't believe she has to sell her house. All that is needed is a non misogynistic platform and I suspect women will contribute to fund those costs. This is a fight for all women.

As there is discussion on Twitter that this individual, in the name of a company, has chosen to speak and act publicly as if Marion is guilty, my guess is that Joanna Cherry is already fully aware and dealing with this. I remain constantly staggered by the new depths to which some people will stoop, while discussing how they are resisting 'hate'.

I do see hate. I see amazing amounts of it, really quite sickening in its variety. I just don't see it coming from Marion.

I doubt it. It's his fee that he's sending elsewhere. He's the vendor. If he no longer has her cash he's done what he contracted to do so it serves him right if he gets in a mess with the card prioviders.

Can we send money directly to her bank account? There must be a way of getting money to her.

For transparency and clarity: GiveWP earns money from Stripe, not the donors. We don't store or keep donations, they are not ours. None of the donations that went to Marion are impacted in any way.

So Stripe will get hit with the chargebacks which will be nicely annoying for them. I expect they are in on his silly schemes.

Spotted one of our regular TRA's on that Twitter feed, celebrating a woman losing her family home. Nice look.

I've had a look at the GiveWP website and there seems to be an add-on where the donator can be asked to add to their donation to cover the card processing fees. If this was the case on Marion's petition, that money should definitely be getting refunded to the people who donated. I wonder if it was....
