Apparently:
“If any young person, including a transgender young person, is concerned about sharing a room with others, you could consider making alternative arrangements, including giving them their own room where appropriate. If any young person voices a concern, this should be considered – responses should be reasonable and proportionate, taking into account the rights of all young people. If showers are communal, find out if there are single-cubicle or private washing facilities which could be used by any young person, including a transgender young person, who would like greater privacy.”

Doesn't chime with what I hear - which is that transgirls are girls and so must be accommodated and anyone who objects is the one likely to be found other arrangement.

If they all self IDed into the female estate, they'd be a third of the population.

@Jaysmith71

Do you suppose convicted criminals are any more or less likely than the average person to tell fibs?
You are not suggesting they might do something as difficult, time consuming and involved as stating "I identify as a woman" or ticking a box that says this in order to be locked up with women under an easier regime and with potential trips out in order to see a gender specialist???

"There's a strong criminal element in here, Mr McKay...."

Bump because Blunt is in the news again

@Jaysmith71

This is the Crispin Blunt who was a leading Tory rightwing opponent of gay rights legislation whilst being in the closet himself. The Crispin Blunt who regularly voted against decriminalising drugs but later admitted to taking poppers.

That Crispin Blunt.

That’s him.

Womankind is being thrown under the bus of his complicated guilt, I think. Because being the out, misogynistic gay chap is clearly so very much better than being the closeted homophobic one. 🙄

MrsOvertonsWindow · 13/03/2022 09:50

Good to see this bumped. Alway worth taking a closer look at those "birth registered males" who are intent on removing safeguarding for children.

Be more Kemi. and ask for the definition of trans.

A trans schoolchild will not have had surgery, not on cross-sex hormones, possibly on hormone blockers.

So essentially a trans girl is just a boy that calls himself a girl, there would be nothing to differentiate that child from any other boy.

I know what you’re trying to say, but I think we need to get away from the idea that doing any of those things makes a person in any way change sex. Trans girls and trans women who have had full surgery and hormones are still male and a subset of the ‘men’ category.

Notwithstanding GRCs (only available to adults), trans girls and trans women should be categorised as men in the situations where categorisation by sex matters.
