My thread asking about transwomen/transitioning/penises has been deleted.

Why are we not allowed to discuss this? It’s a genuine question and extremely relevant to the debate about transwomen entering female spaces.

There was no abuse of trans people that I could see aside from a few people attempting to derail by saying that they couldn’t see why women might be concerned about having to share their space!

This isn’t right

@Datun

Gottalife

There are already mixed sex refuges.

Can you confirm whether you are of the opinion that there should be no single sex refuges for women only? Or is that not the case?

I lean towards single sex meaning no penises. But would be open to negotiation on a case by case basis. I would have empathy for ANYONE who needs the services of a refuge. That is paramount.

You don't get veto power on trans people's presence in public spaces. You don't get to say "no" on things that don't concern you specifically

Womens sex segregated space does concern me specifically.

I don't consent. No negotiation.

Oh dear. It's a bit late to attempt the moral high ground.

The answer is no.

Women (and men) have the right to set boundaries. And most women set a boundary that says they will not be undressed / vulnerable in front of unknown people with penises. And their daughters must also not be undressed / vulnerable in front of those same penis havers - not matter how much the penis havers wish to be naked in front of non consenting women and girls.
The safeguarding of the vulnerable is far more important than the demands of strangers to be naked in front of them

Racists don't consent to black people in their spaces. And yet ultimately, they don't get a say in the matter, and have to just deal with it. Same goes for you.

Yes, we get your attitude.

And that's why women are saying no.

Tsk. You've already had this tactic debunked, dear. Shake the bag and pull out another prompt. Surprise us.
Theeyeballsinthesky · 08/08/2021 13:05

Ah ye olde “you’re all racists!!!!” trope

Let me in clue you in - a woman is an adult human female no matter what the colour of their skin

A man no matter how he presents is not an adult human female

BluebirdsSong · 08/08/2021 13:06

"Nooooo, you don't get to use this tactic, I don't like this tactic" is not "debunking", lol.

Jorrris · 08/08/2021 13:06

Lol, trans activism is deeply racist. I'd take a long hard look in the mirror darling before accusing others of what your own movement is guilty of.

Datun · 08/08/2021 13:07

Think what that person is trying to say is that as black people cant eject racists from public life, then men get to be in showers and changing rooms with teenage girls.

FloralBunting · 08/08/2021 13:07

Full marks for good value, though. I was going to clean the bath, but this has been much more diverting.

Ninkanink · 08/08/2021 13:07

It’s okay, you just keep saying what you want to say...Your gotchas are laughable and anyone with any sense can see that.

Cool now tell me, why should we discriminate on the basis of sex any more than we discriminate on the basis of race.

Yep sounds like it. The young male thinks he has the right to view women and teenage girls undressing. Quite entitled really isn't he.

Jorrris · 08/08/2021 13:12

Your racism is showing. Repulsive.

FloralBunting · 08/08/2021 13:13

You don't really care, but it's because men as a class are a risk factor for women and not gaving sex based rights puts women at a safety and fairness disadvantage.

Anything else?

BluebirdsSong · 08/08/2021 13:13

Do adult women get to be in showers with teenage girls? I'd say that's kind of weird on its own right.
Tibtom · 08/08/2021 13:13

99% of sexual offences are carried out by men.

Datun · 08/08/2021 13:13

Cool now tell me, why should we discriminate on the basis of sex any more than we discriminate on the basis of race.

It's called the equality act. You might want to look at it sometime.

It recognises that 99% of all sex crimes are committed by men, and therefore sex segregation can discriminate against them.

As can sexual orientation.

Sexual orientation can discriminate against all men.

It doesn't mean men get to decide they can shower with teenage girls.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 08/08/2021 13:14

Keeping adults out of children’s spaces is not discrimination

Keeping able bodied people out of spaces for people with disabilities is not discrimination

Keeping men out of women’s spaces is not discrimination

god this is embarrassingly poor level of ‘debate’ Blue

Tibtom · 08/08/2021 13:14

Transwomen commit crimes at the same rate as other men.

BluebirdsSong · 08/08/2021 13:15

And racists argue that black people are a risk factor for white women and children, and that not having race-based segregation in place puts white people at a safety disadvantage.

Their arguments are rightfully disregarded.
