I thought this information might be of interest.

Here’s the page on The Countess website with an overview of the results: thecountess.ie/first-irish-public-poll-on-gender-debate/

Here’s a link to the full report on the survey: thecountess.ie/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Countess-Irish-Gender-Poll-2021.pdf

The “same as gay-bashing in the 70s and 80s” argument really pisses me off. If that’s the case, why are so many GC people lefty liberals, feminists and lesbians, hmmmmm? Why are they many of the SAME people who marched against clause 28 before most of today’s pronoun-wielding ideologues were even born?

Of course there are still actual bigots who hate trans people for being different/nonconforming just like they hate gay people. They are an actual danger to trans people but they mainly just get ignored.

I am not a great fan of Unheard but once in a while there are good articles. I've linked to this one it's by Debbie Hayton who is trans and I am aware there are difficulties in that Debbie Hayton has been responsible for some of the issues we now face in the UK (such as trans policy for some TU's). We know these things, but the wider the audience the better for all us women

Mulletsaremisunderstood · 21/07/2021 21:29

It's a really good article, and covers the issue perfectly.

I wonder does Unherd get much media traction? It would be great if this was posted somewhere, anywhere in the Irish media.

Everythings completely 100% fine in Ireland, so much so that a man in a dress and a wig can be openly masturbating in the womens lingerie section, changing rooms, tills etc on multiple occasions in shops and "nobody notices" aka women were too afraid to say anything

Its all completely fine, nothing to see here, no perverts would ever abuse any kind of self ID law

Mulletsaremisunderstood · 21/07/2021 21:55

Ugh, so gross. And not even shocking anymore Sad.

Also, on the sidebar is the top 5 stories, and 2 of them are about men who killed their wife/partner Angry.

But hey, like you said, everything's just fine here....

Grim as it is, I found myself feeling pleased that they didn't report these crimes as having been committed by a "woman".
