“We can do better than this — and we must,” permanent secretary Leslie Evans declared in a blog.

Isn't the permanent secretary a civil servant? Are they not required to be impartial?!! Angry

GetTheeToTheGulag · 26/06/2021 09:09

There's a rash of articles in Today's Times I'll post links separately so they don't run into each other.

Stonewall equality list ‘bullies bosses and silences dissent’.

Sorry C&P fail Blush ^ I have asked for it be removed. I meant to say

I think we all knew this is happening but it is shocking to see it laid out in black and white.

The IPO raised eyebrows in 2018, as one of the few government bodies that featured in a Stonewall ad campaign, urging supporters to fill in the government consultation, in support self-identification.

At the time, commentators questioned why a government body should take a side in such a sensitive topic. The IPO denied it was influencing the consultation and said it paid no money sponsoring the advert.

When Stonewall revealed the 2019 Top 100, four months later, IPO had shot up the ranks 80 places. It was now 13th — its best ever ranking.

“Your use of social media to communicate the Intellectual Property Office’s commitment to LGBT equality to the wider public is great to see,” the lobby charity wrote in its feedback. “In addition, your public support of reform to the Gender Recognition Act sends a very powerful message.”

This should never have been allowed to happen.

GetTheeToTheGulag · 26/06/2021 09:10

Another one

Avon and Somerset police paid Stonewall thousands learning to be LGBT ally.

WarOnWoman · 26/06/2021 09:12

Stonewall are like the Mafia extorting money off organisations.

I suspect most organisations will quietly change their policies tbh. That's the least we can hope for. Like others have said we need an inquiry into how government departments were allowed to be captured. It's a national scandal.

GetTheeToTheGulag · 26/06/2021 09:12

Oh wait. I hope they work. The link usually says share token.

Stonewall ambassador: I believed in the scheme to uphold rights but we created a monster. Maybe the Times is changing how they work.

Anyone know how Scotland spent ten times as much as anyone else?

Top spenders on Stonewall in 2020

Scottish Government: £125,202

Ministry of Defence: £11,770

Bump, since the token-less links don't seem to work.

highame · 26/06/2021 09:22

Thanks default and nonny I think the Times has got wise to our share token use and are hoping more will subscribe. I wonder if share tokens work on other write ups

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/06/2021 09:23

Didn't OCC amd the cps both back.out of the law suits when 2 teenage girls attempted to sue

They did, it was only at the point where a teenage girl tried to bring a JR against the CPS for its dubious reliance on SW that the court felt that as the offending document had been withdrawn, and the Diversity Champions scheme wasn't an influence on policy outside of the organisation itself (which we now know is not true) that court action was declined. I wonder if it might go differently if there was a case where tangible rather than hypothetical harm had been caused, and with the evidence we now have about the Diversity Champions scheme and how organisations behave to get accreditation. It's quite notable that the awful CPS schools guidance was withdrawn and doesn't appear to be reinstated.

Share tokens, esp from the Tmes' phone app, are a bit hit and miss. There probably are restrictions as well.
Helleofabore · 26/06/2021 09:26

Thank you Nonny for the archive links.

A little disappointed the sharetokens aren’t working as the comments would be interesting. But a small price for the sunlight flooding in.

I will pop over to twitter soon. I expect the unrepentant stonewall will simply post ‘r u ok, hun’ again. But the response will be entertaining.

NonnyMouse1337 · 26/06/2021 09:33

Yes please use the archive links I have posted. Much easier.

And remember the £125,202 spent by the Scottish government is only on the Stonewall stuff. Further public money is given to other groups like Scottish Trans Alliance, LGBT Youth Scotland and many others.
So called feminist org Engender gets about 80-90% of its funding from the Scottish government!! So all these groups are bleating the same mantras and lobbying for an extremist ideology all while living off the public purse. They can't even fund themselves (maybe because very little to zero public support?) and can only keep going because of payouts from the Scottish government. It's ridiculous.

LizzieSiddal · 26/06/2021 09:33

However, The Times can disclose that the charity is using the index to force organisations to lobby on its behalf, rewarding them with higher rankings if they bring their own policies in line with Stonewall’s agenda, and dropping them from the Top 100 if they do not."

This is so shocking. Tax payers are paying for lobbing fur Stonewall. You have to admire their brazen methods. Can they be stopped?!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 26/06/2021 09:35

It's just like an abusive relationship.
One bending over backwards to appease the other but it's just never good enough. Coercive control and emotional blackmail.

Ranking them at 101 must've been deliberate.

Why is all 'diversity and inclusion' only ever about the 'T'.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 26/06/2021 09:36

I suspect a number of us knew there was this level of coercion because otherwise the collective loss of sense and lack of due diligence among employers made no sense.

Depending upon the issues, I would hope the people who were 'corrected' or 're-educated' in internal forums (proudly presented in screenshots) might now have a case to bring against their employers if they suffered any decrement or had their employee record marked in any way.

I would wonder if this might finally put a stop to people putting their pronouns in their Zoom chyrons, emails etc. and workplaces/events stopping the pressure on other attendees to do likewise.

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2021 09:42

Yes nonny

It’s the other groups which SG spends much money on and they are all interlinked

Datun · 26/06/2021 09:45

I honestly don't understand how all these organisations think they are advocating for any LGB person when endorsing the T renders LGB utterly meaningless. Or completely undermined.

Can they not connect any dots?

Reading the recommendations to 'do better' from stonewall makes it perfectly obvious how biased it all is. The wording is so over the top, almost comedy. How can they not see?

And is there any evidence, stats, etc, that the company's do actually attract better employees because of the rainbow washing? Where is the study? Because that's the reason they do it, isn't it?

If you are able to, please sign up as a regular donor to Sex Matters, especially before June runs out.

If you are a new regular donor, you can double your donation: To help us get off to a flying start a generous donor (not her!) has offered to match the annual donation of anyone who pledges in June to donate monthly for a year.

I had a payday trip to the garden centre yesterday.
Bought a beautiful annual from Sex Matters.

And a couple of lovely house plants from LGBAlliance and MurrayBlackburnMackenzie who have a little garden at least partly inspired by the RCN. Our Royal College of Nursing pretends not to know why sex matters.

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2021 09:50

Indeed. Of course it is. Jesus.

I’m waiting for the legal cases of staff who have felt scrutiny and bullied or have been hounded out because of this nonsense.
