I joined halfway through. I'm assuming that those of us viewing cannot be seen or heard? I could use the chat function.

happydappy2 · 18/06/2021 13:40

Would love to hear the recording if there is one…

corkernewyorker · 18/06/2021 13:41

It was being recorded, but not sure where the recordings can be accessed. Maybe they will send out a link by email later?

Masdintle · 18/06/2021 14:05

Josephine March was in the audience along with Still Tish, Katie Alcock, Alan Hennes, the Safe Schools Alliance and others. Unfortunately Nic Williams didn't get to speak, there was a bit of a cock up on the comms front, I hope she doesn't take her bat home and that she will join next week's.

purpleboy · 18/06/2021 14:11

Damn it I missed it. I will follow here in case anyone has a link to the recording.

MaudTheInvincible · 18/06/2021 14:16

Yes, I hope Dr Nic will speak at next week's session too. It was the first one I've been able to attend. I was glad I did, it was very worthwhile. I was especially struck by the difficulty around providing proper, ethical, psychological support to those in need of it.

YellowFish12 · 18/06/2021 14:18

Do you know how I can sign up to join future ones?

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/06/2021 14:19

@YellowFish12

Do you know how I can sign up to join future ones?
You can email Emma and get on the list.

I’ve seen the last two and they’ve been excellent. Lord Hunt is very on the ball.

noneedtoexpelme · 18/06/2021 14:51

Glinner advertises them on his sub stack. I would like to watch again, also I missed the webinar broadcast last week.

OhHolyJesus · 18/06/2021 15:01

I'm another who would love to watch them if they are shared online.

JustcameoutGC · 18/06/2021 15:18

Kay France was awesome, as was Lucy Griffin. It is horrifying how the baton is being passed between the BMA and the Royal College of Psychiatrists over how to best manage kids with gender issues.

They are both Stonewalled up the waazoo and taking zero responsibility and demonstrating no leadership while children with really complex medical and social needs are being failed and damaged. My favourite quote was something like

"History will not look back and think kindly of the side that advocated for sterilisation and removal of healthy body parts from children, nor of those in power that let it happen"

stumbledin · 18/06/2021 15:32

Oh dear - I didn't even know these were happening. Blush

Does she have a web page or something for announcement of future events?

Scout2016 · 18/06/2021 15:34

I emailed here to get on the list for future talks
[email protected]

It was replied to by Andrew Methvena,
Senior Researcher, Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne.

YellowFish12 · 18/06/2021 15:36

Awesome, thanks ladies

She mentioned that sports will probably get a look in soon too as she had some colleagues particularly interested in that.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 21/06/2021 12:04

Has the Baroness said what her aim is with these webinars? I wonder whether she is gathering evidence for a public enquiry

NecessaryScene · 21/06/2021 12:21

Glinner did a supplement for his appearance at the webinar, cos thinks he didn't manage to say all the things he wanted to say.

(How very Glinner is that, eh? Grin)

Masdintle · 21/06/2021 12:36

Helle in a previous webinar Tanni Grey-Thompson was on the panel and she said if the same amount of money was spent on disability than is spent on trans issues, disabled people would have all their needs met all the time (or words to that effect)

Helleofabore · 21/06/2021 12:48

Masdintle

That must have been the one that I missed.

And Tanni Grey-Thompson is brilliant too. I did expect one of the 'colleagues' interested in sport would be her.

noneedtoexpelme · 24/06/2021 12:59

Another one

Public Meeting: Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and Lord Lucas will discuss Public Health and NHS Information with Dr Nicola Williams, Ms Kay France and Mr Graham Linehan. All welcome to attend.
