Fun fact. The term Feminazi was made popular by very right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh.

This org seem to be using it unironically.

Nice spelling yet again.

Cailleach1 · 03/06/2021 18:23

They'd want to be careful there. First thing I wondered when I saw the pic, 'oh, are they now claiming that person was Trans because of the they're wearing gender changing lipstick?'

Lipstick (and other make-up) announces your gender, you see. Couple this with the fact Dawn Butler fact, that is that there is no such thing as people having a sex when they're born.

Now, I'm wondering if all actors and tv people are all of the same gender as they wear make-up.

BraveBananaBadge · 03/06/2021 18:31

There seems to be a lot more of these 'right wing' accusations being flung about at the moment. But they're getting more absurd and baseless. I used to worry about it, but you get to a place where you realise it's a very silly and immature tactic to demonise anyone with a different view.

I think it's part of the memo that went out last week to offensively conflate women and biology with anti-semitism as much as they can muster.

Melroses · 03/06/2021 18:42

Ah yes, India obviously got that memo today Hmm

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 03/06/2021 18:45

they're nobodies. 12k followers. trying a little click bait to increase that number i'd guess

WinterTrees · 03/06/2021 18:54

'Inardvently' 😂😂 They don't help themselves when it comes to being taken seriously, do they?

I'm imagining that whole mess narrated in the style of the Haribo adverts.

TheWeeDonkey · 03/06/2021 18:57

WTF does any of that have to do with race relations? Does it help black people and people of colour? In particular how does it help black women and women of colour?

BraveBananaBadge · 03/06/2021 18:58

Yes Ova, that too. I guess you can worry 'oh my God, I've always been a lefty am I a turning into a right winger?!' at first, and it throws you into doubt. But everything else they're throwing at it now, eg being anti Semitic, religious zealots etc, are things I know I am not and never will be. But the more they lump in the more obviously dim the argument becomes.

merrymouse · 03/06/2021 18:58

I thought this part of the tweet was quite revealing:

"Nobody from a minority group, should be campaigning for the erosion of other people’s rights."

Leaving aside the fact that women are campaigning for women's rights, women are not a minority group. Our problems won't be solved by raising visibility or affirmation. To enable equality you have to address the fact that women and men are physically different and have different needs.

Meanwhile they talk about reproductive rights, but fail to note that they are threatened in America, a country where people on the left don't feel able to name the people who need reproductive rights, and still haven't achieved basic goals like a first female head of state or statutory maternity pay.

It's just so overwhelmingly sexist. They can't imagine that left wing women in the UK might be able to think for themselves. If any thing gender ideology advances a far right agenda.

Biological fundamentalism????? So everyone who knows that there are two human sexes are feminazis??

InspiralCoalescenceRingdown · 03/06/2021 19:04

Of course they did. Who could resist a bit of Hitler in pink lipstick?

StillWeRise · 03/06/2021 19:23

I don't have the brain power at the moment to tease this one out, But I'm reminded of how, during the peace movement, right wingers (and the govt) would accuse us Greenham types of being either outright communists or being in receipt of soviet money. Yet in fact we knew perfectly well that in the event of any soviet invasion (this was the cold war remember) people like us would have been among the first to be rounded up (anti authoritarian and practised in resisting the state)

somone else can maybe see if that resonance has any significance...

ScreamingMeMe · 03/06/2021 19:28

Feminazi. Straight out of the MRA Playbook indeed.

Waitwhat23 · 03/06/2021 19:36

Biological fundamentalism. So...the belief in reality based, scientific concepts. That is a perfect example of a dying regime desperately doubling down as they become acutely aware of their own impending demise. It's really quite pathetic.

phodopus · 03/06/2021 19:45

Is this like when you're having a debate and the other person runs out of good arguments, so they compare you to Hitler? Reductio ad Hitlerum.

OvaHere · 03/06/2021 19:46

According to the author 'innate biological difference' is a far right idea. Presumably that makes medical professionals literal nazis and midwives especially must be the new SS.

I suppose the end game here is that the world is supposed to pretend male and female don't exist. We are all one amorphous blob completely indistinguishable from each other. Despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Strangely enough whilst all this word salad is being produced by think tanks and fought over on Twitter the world will keep turning and the people in it understanding that men and women are innately physically different from each other. I expect quite a few babies will keep appearing from somewhere too.

Yeah, my first thought was "Trans Hitler? Well that's new."
terryleather · 03/06/2021 19:59

Ach it's just more Critical Social Justice arsewash, where absolutely everything that has not been sanctioned by the sanctimonious right thinkers is white supremacist/colonialist/oppressive/fascist/alt-right/blahblahblah.

I think it's mostly done to signal to other members of their tribe, but it's both tiresome and infuriating.

BrilliantBetty · 03/06/2021 20:10

"Biological Fundamentalism" .... ay?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 03/06/2021 20:28
