Bit surprised by the inclusion of Patrick Stewart. I think he is very aware of why we don’t want men in out spaces, making us feel vulnerable.

Heidi1982 · 25/05/2021 14:38

@Ereshkigalangcleg

Heidi click the link in the OP.
For some reason links often aren't clicky on the app but I have found it anyway.

I'm now struggling with the cognitive dissonance of seeing Liz Truss speaking sense.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 25/05/2021 14:38

I would pay good money to hear Brian Blessed say 'WOMEN DO HAVE VAGINAS NICK!'

ConfusedAdultFemale · 25/05/2021 14:41

Ok which idiot needed the memo that women have vaginas?

ConfusedAdultFemale · 25/05/2021 14:42

Aside from Nick, that is.

ArcheryAnnie · 25/05/2021 14:42

I am glad Liz Truss has said this, but it just shows how far this ideology has infiltrated society and the negative effect it is having, when saying ‘women have vaginas’ is considered controversial.

I am not happy for them to insist on which pronouns I use or insist I change my use from their proper use to refer to the sex of the individual.

I refuse to prop up someone’s fantasy/belief/desire they are the opposite sex by using language that implies they are the opposite biological sex to which they are. I think humouring someone’s fantasy/belief/desire they are the opposite sex is not being kind, it is unhealthy for everyone involved, and further entrenches a sexist and homophobic ideology into society.

Humouring believers of gender ideology, in the mistaken belief it is the ‘kind’ thing to do, is what has led to this situation where saying ‘women have vaginas’ is considered controversial in the first place.

Showed the clip to my husband, who is fully aware of my views, he looked at me as if it was missing a punchline. He couldn’t quite believe this is any way controversial.

I have shared on my FB, without comment, and there is this slight concern it will be removed and the realisation that removing it as be offensive, is offensive or simply put, sad.
