Peter Fonda.
And for it then to be cut to Loaded by Primal Scream.
I sense a chart topper...

The reality is that most women are very happy for transgender people to live their lives and use whatever pronouns they want to use.

I am happy for tranagender people to use whatever pronouns they want. However I am not happy for them to insist on which pronouns I use or insist I change my use from their proper use to refer to the sex of the individual.

think its clever though because she doesn't say "all women have vaginas" or imply that a vagina is necessary for womanhood.

Yes, but TRAs will have a problem even with such a bland statement. You don't need to say "all women have vaginas" as they will assume you mean that when you say "women have vaginas". That is considered a transphobic/"cissexist" statement by many.

Marguerite2000 · 25/05/2021 13:18

My list -
Dominic Cummings
Jamila Jamil
Morrissey
Gary Lineker
Lisa Nandy/Angela Raynor. Either will do.

I vote for the Kraftwerk treatment. Like 22 minutes of it.

If anyone finds any examples of someone "having a problem" with what she said, please post it! I'm longing to see how their free speech on the matter stands up.
Mumsnut · 25/05/2021 13:34

‘Women have vaginas’. We should absolutely spam Twitter with it

(I realise it would be too risky for some)

Taswama · 25/05/2021 13:35

Wow. I have never had a post deleted before!

Thingybob · 25/05/2021 13:36

Brilliant, well done Liz Truss.

Tibtom · 25/05/2021 13:43

I was disappointed she said 'free speech' though not 'scientific accuracy' or 'recognising reality'

An honorable mention for Abertay University (the student’s university) who stated:

“To be clear, all Abertay students are free to express their views on campus, as long as this is not done in an intolerant or abusive way which would breach our code of student discipline.
Press reporting and social media commentary around this case has centred around gender issues and statements such as 'women have vaginas' and 'men have penises', which are lawful statements and would categorically not lead to any University misconduct investigation, if expressed on campus in a reasonable manner.”

Abhannmor · 25/05/2021 13:47

Anthony Hopkins.

Gymsmile21 · 25/05/2021 13:49

She looked at him almost as if the world was stupid, “women have vaginas Nick”

😂

IntermittentParps · 25/05/2021 13:54

I now have a ranked list of public figures that I want to hear saying the phrase “women do have vaginas, Nick”

It's too late, very sadly, but Joan Rivers. Grin
And Jimmy Nail.

somethinginoffensive · 25/05/2021 13:54

So I can say it quietly but not shout it?

Fernlake · 25/05/2021 13:55

And this too. It was very clever as, even though he was quoting, the very idea that he was even giving it headroom made him look a bit daft.
Fernlake · 25/05/2021 13:57

So I can say it quietly but not shout it?

Or put it on a billboard?

"Women do have vaginas, Nick".

You cant censor Liz truss, surely.
