British Kickboxing has fallen

Well, it looks as though BKC (British Kickboxing Council) are to allow trans athletes to compete in their chosen category. There is thankfully a lot of kickback against this on their twitter feed.

Eurgh another thing to be outraged about. I was so encouraged by news this morning as well.

Insurance companies are captured.

But what about the actuaries; they do all the real number crunching?

Why do you suggest ‘insurance companies are captured’? There seem strong legal/financial reasons for them not to unsure trainers/clubs responsible for high risk/dangerous practices.

Swimming is a nightmare for safeguarding.

I’m not surprised that Swim England has quietly withdrawn a self ID policy.

No insurance companies aren't captured.

It's about risk assessment. And trying to balance expected claims with premiums. They have no obligation to cover anything that they feel is too likely to result in claim. Insurance is about covering chance, not certain claims.

It's a very traditional industry. Tbh they are probably totally unaware. Or if they're not there's something in the small print.

In the end people who work at these companies are standard people and most people don't know about this stuff. They will put their rates together based on past claims experience which of course will not include mixed sex fights.

I think the kickboxing Twitter has stopped/ deleted all comments? I'm not on there so not 100% sure
