Well, it looks as though BKC (British Kickboxing Council) are to allow trans athletes to compete in their chosen category. There is thankfully a lot of kickback against this on their twitter feed.

DS goes kickboxing and they’ve been discussing this after classes. Every single male member of his club is absolutely horrified. I’m going to ask him if they have any plans to oppose this officially.

It’s not fair for either sex - girls risk injury and the boys will feel that they ought to ‘go easy’ on either a trans boy or trans girl (should they be based on sex).

Tara was also arrested again for being violent at a protest.

Is it official? I've looked on their site and can't find anything but admittedly I'm not quite sure where it would be.

I'd be interested to know what their "Trans inclusion in Kickboxing project" involves if they're not looking at allowing trans women to compete as the sex they identify with? Now is definitely the time to be pointing out how dangerous that would be.

No-one is denying trans women ‘access to sport’ - they are still more than welcome to compete against all the other biological males.

They have a right to sport - but it doesn’t trump female athletes’ right to safety, or their right to fair competition.
