I've never seen a board I agree with so much, but I am from texas. I love this board!! Does anyone here frequent other huge rad feminist/ gender critical boards? How is it possible your board seems so devoid of male trolling?

OP posts:

Excellent. Here we go with the right wing and evangelical religion tie in again.

Shall we start discussing the actual people we find linked to our threads as 'experts'.

Let's see. There has been a couple of links to an influencer as an appeal to authority where the influencer was heavily involved in sexually harassing a woman on line earlier this year. Plus, around IWD that person mocked women for their toilet habits. Imagine the mindset of the person who does that?

Shall we go on? I have plenty of more examples with evidence. Not just unfounded trope that keeps being rolled out like 'right wing' or whatever.

Next they'll start with the white supremacist b0llix...have heard that one was doing the rounds on twitter Hmm

Should read

Shall we start discussing the actual people we find linked to our threads as 'experts' by people pushing this agenda that feminists are right wing. Such as this poster.

@Shizuku

People in glass houses and all that...

Hmm, are you saying that the right wing in the US don't agree with you on issues like banning puberty blockers, or trans women in female spaces?

Hmm are you saying that trans groups have not been funded by right wing groups, groups who also fund evangelical Christian groups and Trump donors?

Helleofabore · 26/04/2021 18:58

Ah yes. merf forgot that came out recently.

So shizuku can you let us know about this article that Merf has linked up?

FeckTheMagicDragon · 26/04/2021 19:02

I’m in the US now (originally UK) and Mumsnet is still my ‘go to’ board. It’s the only place I’ve found on ‘tinternet that is truly female friendly. Aside from the odd incomer. Also the rubbish that we a Republican/Christian fundamentalists is exactly that.
We’re more likely to be like the fabulous Julie Bindle, but to be honest the femanist here are from all walks of life, and all political leanings. But we all know what a woman is, as we all came out of one. It’s amazing how becoming a mother can radicalize women. I blame the hormones 😊

yourhairiswinterfire · 26/04/2021 19:04

Merftastic

Worthy of its own thread I reckon Merf, with a very obvious title, if you're up for it?

I believe some parts of the Christian Right are big funders of certain trans groups

I’m not sure whether this is a case of ignorance combined with regurgitation of what you’ve read on social media, or a deliberate attempt to slur Christians. Please enlighten us. Which parts of the ‘Christian Right’ are big funders of trans groups? The same bible-believing Christian Right that believes God is infallible? How would that work then? An infallible God who gives people the wrong bodies? It doesn’t compute.

cakedays · 26/04/2021 19:31

Men I think tend to think it's just mummies nattering and leave us to it and those that don't tend to get short shrift when they do troll and find out that the mummies nattering shtick is just a screen for a vicious nest of vipers and a feminist radicalisation portal grin

Absolutely this Grin There are still a few trolls that pop up, but when they do, the vipers go for them with the kind of ferocity that few can withstand Grin

GNCQ · 26/04/2021 19:32

@Deliriumoftheendless

Oh there’s plenty of men trolling.
There certainly are and many people with penis's pop up in here pretending they're biologically female too!

Thankfully the moderators are very reliable.

BettyFilous · 26/04/2021 19:32

@Shizuku

Try the Republican party or the Christian evangelical movement. You will find they share the same views as most members of this forum on trans people and sex workers.
Lol

Why are you such an angry and bitter person?

What did the OP say that was transphobic??

BrandineDelRoy · 26/04/2021 22:33

Hi, OP! I'm also in Texas. MN is unmatched in the US. If it hasn't already been mentioned, you might want to look at efforts by WOLF: www.womensliberationfront.org.

Also, apparently a Democratic Texas legislator testified in committee to there being six sexes last week. It's almost as if the Democrats don't want to turn Texas blue (or even purple): www.google.com/amp/s/amp.thepostmillennial.com/theres-six-biological-sexes-not-two-says-texas-rep-talarico.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 26/04/2021 22:41

I see there have been references to the American political system. I find US politics doesn't map over to the UK, because of the social differences between the two countries.

But anyway, skipping over all that, isn't Caitlin Jenner planning to run for governor of California for the Republican party? Confused

334bu · 26/04/2021 22:48

Texas Democratic legislator who thinks there are 6 sexes, was educated at Harvard. If I were him I would be asking for my money back!

334bu · 26/04/2021 22:52

Jennifer Pritzker( billionaire transwomen) and her family supported Donald Trump's 2016 campaign.

I think he thinks karyotypes are individual sexes.
RickiTarr · 26/04/2021 22:58

There are as an incident on MN years ago in which a thread and some PMs led a MNer to request a police welfare check for another MNer (a stranger). The police apparently wrote it up as being to do with a “website where women share recipes and chat”. Grin

334bu · 26/04/2021 23:14

^^I think he thinks karyotypes are individual sexes.**

I wonder if he knows which ones make the babies? Maybe he thinks there's a karotype stork that does all the work. Whatever he believes, it's pretty obvious that he is, as my old mother would say, a complete numpty.

Yeah. Even if there are six, there is still going to be one sex doing 99% of the reproductive labor for humanity.
SmokedDuck · 27/04/2021 00:45

God, six sexes would be way too complicated.

Parakeetkeet · 27/04/2021 02:22

@WarriorN

There's also spinster xyz and another one but I don't find the layout as easily accessible.
I have been on those too but I dont like the layouts as much. If you cant see all the threads in one place to respond to how do you have conversation and reach everyone at the same time.. I tried ovarit and said it but activity was minimal. I went to crystal cafe but it doesnt feel the same as a forum or reddit to me. I got on reddit a lot but then I was banned for questioning mastectomies allowed on teens. That this happened was absolutely mind blowing to me!! Confused
