Brilliant!

*I genuinely may never recover from 3 men deciding women needed pink gloves to remove their tampons (clearly never having bothered to speak to a woman in their entire lives) AND THEN MADE IT TOO BIG FOR PRETTY MUCH EVERY WOMAN’S HAND EVER.

I have default male peaked.*

I saw that. And the cost!!

Scepticaltank · 26/04/2021 12:22

I am going on Dragons Den next month with giant blue gloves for men who want to improve their masturbation hygiene. They can carry them around in their jeans when they are out and about as they are appealing and stylish.

I'm calling them Wanky.

No they need to be medium, default women's size. Just awkwardly slightly too small.

They'd fit me! I have default male hands. Don't see the need for pink gloves though. I just wash my huge hands afterwards.

I have another one I saw this morning. I was idly scanning the Oscar outfits (as you do), marvelling at the pretty outfits.

So I see each outfit has the name of it’s wearer attached to the pic. I see a man in a decent suit named stood next to an unacknowledged woman who just happens to be Chloe Zhao who won the Best Director award.

Fancy that

Notthissticky · 26/04/2021 12:31

Thank you. Sitting here realising quite how often I have thought it was inconvenient that I can't pee like a bloke, rather than getting pissed off at the lack of facilities designed for women... I genuinely hadn't really considered how ridiculous it is that everything I just thought was poorly designed was actually poorly designed for women only.

Notthissticky · 26/04/2021 12:33

Also, nice way to continue pushing the narrative that periods (and, by extension, women's bodies) are dirty.

What was she wearing though?🤦🏼‍♀️
WarriorN · 26/04/2021 12:35

I thought her outfit was beautiful, I've just been scrolling myself. Really subtle.

Hermes and trainers apparently. Love it.

OMG

I have 'default male' peaked.
WarriorN · 26/04/2021 13:04

Based on this morning, if these men really wanted to have an impact, instead of faffing around adding to the pink tax and plastic pollution, make sure toddlers are otherwise engaged when mummy is trying to change her pad/tampon.

Threw a wobbler as I was "putting on a nappy" (it really wasn't) as I wasn't doing Exactly What He Wanted Right Then. 😑

I need more period pants.

I saw a video on this. Apparently the impetus to create the product was that used sanitary products will start to smell when in the bin. So instead of taking the bin out they did all this....

WarriorN · 26/04/2021 13:10

Hmm oh ffs.

Neonprint · 26/04/2021 13:10

The video I saw was on tiktok BTW so probably couldn't find it again sorry!

Whatwouldscullydo · 26/04/2021 13:12

How does it help the bin issue Confused

Don't u just end up with the glove and the tampon in the bin?

Brefugee · 26/04/2021 14:50

It is infuriating. But they've stopped selling them.

Background is more infuriating but ultimately cool. About 18 monts ago two women were on the show with sustainable period pants. Experienced business women who knew their stuff. No u
Investor was interested. Then came the #Pibkygate shit storm. I read an interview with one of the women who made a few interesting points :

  1. they would pitch to investors, mostly male, who would say things like "I need to check with my wife if there is a market for this as I have no expertise" then go on to invest in boomed or tech things without background knowledge

  2. when the show hadn't worked out they set up a crowdfunging site for a month to get backers but reached their target in 7 hours

  3. since this all started they have been busier than ever.

I have some of their pants - they're fantastic

Trixie78 · 26/04/2021 14:56

I saw this the other day and didn't know whether to laugh or cry! It's the way they looked so pleased with themselves, they looked just like my toddler who's done a big fat poo (but just missed the toilet) 🤨

highame · 26/04/2021 14:59

Wonderful, including all the posts Grin

WarriorN · 26/04/2021 15:06

Grin Trixie

I need the loo I'm laughing so much!

OP posts:
WarriorN · 26/04/2021 15:07

Well of course it takes women to actually solve the problem Brefugee !

Those gloves are bringing me out in a cold sweat, they look like the cheapo type with a scratchy seam. You'd be cut to pieces, surely?

AnyFucker · 26/04/2021 15:16

Chloe Zhao looked beautiful
