Brilliant!

*I genuinely may never recover from 3 men deciding women needed pink gloves to remove their tampons (clearly never having bothered to speak to a woman in their entire lives) AND THEN MADE IT TOO BIG FOR PRETTY MUCH EVERY WOMAN’S HAND EVER.

I have default male peaked.*

I guarantee you’d find one hanging in a tree next to a bag of dog shit.

WarriorN · 26/04/2021 18:40

Skeptical could you design one for when they decide to piss in my garden after a drunken night out?

Yellow and called Winky.

They can take it home with them and pour it down the loo.

Thanks!

I don't speak German but good to know the options if I'm there

Yeah although they buy into all the gender identity crap.

Why do you speak of women and what does the gender asterisk mean?

The gender asterisk includes all gender identities. Because not all who menstruate are women and not all women menstruate. That is why we deliberately do not only speak of women in the context of periods. Because not only women menstruate, but also, for example, trans men who were born with female sexual organs. In addition, not all women menstruate, for example trans women born with male sex organs. It is important to us that all people feel represented at ooia.

I’ve just had a horrible thought about why the gloves are large and what tampons could be getting handled 🤢. It’s a niche market...

JoodyBlue · 26/04/2021 21:03

@Scepticaltank

I am going on Dragons Den next month with giant blue gloves for men who want to improve their masturbation hygiene. They can carry them around in their jeans when they are out and about as they are appealing and stylish.

I'm calling them Wanky.

@Scepticaltank - if there were a prize you should win it Cake. I read this, snorted, returned and guffawed, went away, came back, and I have tears in my eyes now. Fabulous, needed, thank you Flowers

Damn right you would, I'd be the first to do this and I'm menopausal so periods are hit or miss just now.
Scepticaltank · 26/04/2021 21:44

I do like those suggested modifications @ifIwerenotanandroid

I am slightly worried at the Health and Safety implications of Wanky customers using the product.

A hand securely attached to a member in the Wanky glove could result in injuries if the Wanky customer were to suffer a momentary loss of balance whilst making a deposit.

Liability disclaimers would be essential.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/04/2021 00:32

This is certainly something to iron out before you apply to Dragon's Den, @Scepticaltank, & something I hadn't considered.

I was expecting the gentleman in question to place himself in a secure, comfortable & supportive position before, as Mulder once said to Scully, snapping on the latex; but customers are notoriously stupid in unpredictable ways & liable to blame the supplier for their own daft actions.

One should try to avoid being the cause of an influx of even more male masturbatory injuries to A&E, especially in this time of Covid.

Neonprint · 27/04/2021 10:07

@Whatwouldscullydo

How does it help the bin issue Confused

Don't u just end up with the glove and the tampon in the bin?

I think their thinking was it was better wrapped so the smell didn't get out.

But yeah taking the bin out is still way easier.

Is it just me or do the home hair dye products have HUGE clear plastic gloves that feel ...flappy ... too?

Thelnebriati · 27/04/2021 14:43

Its not just you, and they have those seams running around the edge that are a strategic weak point. I've lost track of the number of times I've had to bleach my poor fingertips.

Brefugee · 27/04/2021 15:47

Not crap if it affects you (period pants are great for Trans men).
Also the German language is more complicated because it is gendered. So you have to get inventive to be inclusive. Someone else being kind won't hurt you

Gender ideology is harmful to women and reinforces harmful sex stereotypes. It is not a kindness. Only women have periods, and people who do not have periods because they were "born with male sex organs" are men.

HandInGlove85 · 27/04/2021 20:40

I also can't conceive of the arrogance that it would take to pretend that I was not a woman, and then ask that everyone change the language that they use to refer to women's basic bodily functions to include my imagined identity.

Why on earth would a transman with gender dysphoria want everyone to remember that they have periods too?

toffeebutterpopcorn · 27/04/2021 20:44

Look you lot. I am a polar bear.

Ooh yikes! - I just looked it up.

Gender ideology is harmful to women and reinforces harmful sex stereotypes.

In this case they are reminding people who need them that their product is available. They use female (presenting? i don't know) models of all sizes on their materials. Inclusivity isn't the same thing as cancelling women every time.

I’m pretty sure a menstruating trans man doesn’t need reminding that they have periods and need sanitary protection for +/- 5 days out of every 28.
StealthPolarBear · 28/04/2021 07:43

@Notthissticky

Also, nice way to continue pushing the narrative that periods (and, by extension, women's bodies) are dirty.
Yes, it's almost like our hands need a permanent waterproof, washable coating. Would save faffing around with gloves. I wonder if there is a man who could invent human skin?
