Harvie hates women is trending on Twitter

Following comments to a caller on a BBC radio show by Patrick Harvie, the leader of the Scottish Greens, it would seem that Harvie Hates Women is trending on twitter.

I'm not Scottish so I don't really understand how Wings is not in the spirit, especially in the context of a comparison to the Daily Mail.

What am I missing?

Wings can be very rude and ... I think 'coruscating' has been used? He's quite a ... controversial figure on the Scottish politics scene.

I don't always agree with him but I read the blog, it's often got useful information, evidence and insights.

I watched that yesterday and couldn’t believe he said it! Although don’t know why I’m surprised. These TRAs always equate Transwomen to black women. How offensive can they get! They’ve been told numerous times to stop but they still do it. It’s basic misogynoir, equating us to men

I NEVER thought I'd see the day when I'd agree with Wings on anything, but he seems to absolutely get the GC viewpoint and has been great at getting the message out to folk who might not otherwise be aware of what's going on.

As for PH, well the Fudmeister just can't help himself can he. He truly is one of the most objectionable wee arses in a hugely overcrowded field.

As an aside, I have had what seems like a recycle bins worth of election leaflets through my door from him and my back window is now looking directly onto a flat displaying a big sign saying "Vote Green" so it feels like I can never get away from him

Why do these men always make this analogy, if they see black women like they see white women? Black women aren't a different category of female. Males aren't a category of female at all.

Well he went all out with that one, TWAW the same as black, Jewish & disabled women, what the actual fuck is wrong with these people? Racist, anti Semitic & ableist in one interview.

I just noticed as well that he talked about the decriminalisation of abortion
