How are Derbyshire going to.pklice that? Who has influenced them to do this?

DisgustedofManchester · 06/04/2021 16:01

I'd have thought they would be used to no one responding by now. They are hardly a feminist organisation. Have you seen some of the stuff Harry and Graham have tweeted about women?

EveWasReframed · 06/04/2021 16:04

The Police in England need to get a bloody grip.

I'm a bit more worried about police forces making up random laws with which to prosecute people and am quite glad that someone is trying to hold them to account but you do you. Hmm

I don't think they have ever claimed to be a feminist organisation.

That said, the police misrepresenting the law should worry us all.

Obviously not misogyny though perish the thought of counting hate crime against women

I find them being a stonewall champion offensive and hate. Can we report them for that as a hate incident

toffeebutterpopcorn · 06/04/2021 16:42

Yes that was he...

Biscuitsanddoombar · 06/04/2021 16:43

Well it’s all in the perception Tibtom so I don’t see why not

Tibtom · 06/04/2021 16:52

Link if you feel like reporting theur misogyny: www.derbyshire.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/hco/hate-crime/how-to-report-hate-crime/
"A hate incident is any incident which the victim, or anyone else, thinks is based on someone’s prejudice towards them because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or because they are transgender.

Not all hate incidents will amount to criminal offences, but it is equally important that these are reported and recorded by the police.

Evidence of the hate element is not a requirement. You do not need to personally perceive the incident to be hate related. It would be enough if another person, a witness or even a police officer thought that the incident was hate related."

Bit of discussion on Facebook

AfternoonToffee · 06/04/2021 17:25

Every woman in Derbyshire needs to report every incident, especially ones on social media. Fight fire with fire.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 06/04/2021 17:33
Did you notice what comment they responded to

What about misandry?
Yes, we'll take that too

But no response to the calls for action about misogyny!

Datun · 06/04/2021 18:42

Gender hate?

Are they really really saying you can be prosecuted for hating gender stereotyping now? So that's every gender critical feminist in the slammer, then 🤣

As a direct result of the linguistic fuckery, they appear to be telling people that they will be prosecuted for pointing out sexism and misogyny, whilst, presumably, thinking it's a law that is against sexism and misogyny.

Dear God. It's just plain embarrassing.

Datun · 06/04/2021 18:48

They are hardly a feminist organisation

I'm sure they'll be devastated to hear that 🤣

PurpleWh1teGreen · 06/04/2021 18:51

So if you are anti gender stereotyping are you allowed to be in favour of equality? Wink

Thelnebriati · 06/04/2021 22:59

The police have just made up a crime that does not exist in law & that cannot be legally defined, and that should concern all of us.

This new, non existent crime will show up on a DBS check.

unwashedanddazed · 07/04/2021 00:09

mobile.twitter.com/DerbysCCSwann
Chief Constable for Derby police. Twitter bio reads: Chief Constable at @DerbysPolice, #NPCC lead for Gender and Fingerprints.

Gender and Fingerprints? Are they identifying gender hate by palm reading?

They all sound completely bonkers.

EveWasReframed · 07/04/2021 00:26

I really really hope that should read: Lead for Gender, and Fingerprints.

And that would be bad enough.

Sex identification from fingerprinting is more of an archaeological forensic technique these days, given that the oil secreted within fingerprints is these days very much capable of yielding DNA sexed profile evidence.

It all makes the police look scientifically illiterate to the scientific community who support them.
