I think it would be great to keep track of all incidents. What is lacking badly in this debate is data. If no data is collected, it is very hard to argue one thing or the other.

I think it may be. It must be scaring people. The founders of the page is collecting stories about horrors occurring in single sex spaces due to self ID.

There are several thought provoking stories there already and the web page is new. If there is an attach, I speculate that it is due to some people really not want this data collected.

@helpfulperson , yes , it is not 'data' but OP has signposted us to a site where women can safely share stories of incidents where they have encountered biological males in women's spaces and have had distressing experiences .
Many women and girls will have been too frightened , embarrassed or unsure of the law to make an official report or complaint .
It is sadly now the case that we must collate these stories and offer them up as evidence of our needs for sex-based rights and spaces.
One girl , or woman , assaulted or abused in these places is one too many .

If women report these incidents to the police they are at best reported as women’s crimes.

If women post these incidents on social media they are at best accused of “weaponising their experiences” at worst threatened with “girl dick rape”.

This is a non-optimal way of gathering information about what is going on.

But it's not really evidence is it? It's not the same as a targeted survey or whatever you think is the TRA equivalent. For all we know every post on there could be by the same person - and you may think gender critical activists are above such behaviour, I'm not inclined to agree, but there are certainly overtly transphobic forces who would quite happily fill websites like this with misinformation safe in the knowledge that these will soon become undisputed gender critical 'facts'.

jj you expect people to put their names against their testimonies knowing how TRAs carry on. This is the only way they have of reporting this stuff. You've made sure of it. As for 'overtly transphobic forces', where? I have never seen any. Only you label anyone with questions about gender ideology 'transphobic'. Is their anything in those stories that is transphobic? No. So why can't these people just tell their stories? You know damn well why.

That's a bizarre article in the Guardian. I couldn't work out what it was trying to say. It seems to be about right wing religious people who are anti-women and anti-gay. But one thing I'm sure of is that there's nothing about transphobia in there (unless you count the 'T' that's been tacked on to LGB).

['Gender ideology'] is a theory drummed up by hard-right religious activists, who present it as a gay- and feminist-led movement out to upend the traditional family and the natural order of society. It’s a catchall phrase to sell a false narrative and justify discrimination against women and LGBT people.

When we talk about 'gender ideology' on here, it's about something which is anti-gay and anti-feminist, so not the same thing as they are talking about in that article. Just because the same words are used, don't assume it's the same thing.

Both Nick Griffin and Tommy Robinson have turned their attention to trans people in the last couple of years, the Evangelical movement is obsessed with us and a book has just been published accusing trans people of being the frontline of a global Jewish conspiracy. There are plenty of organised anti trans factions who would welcome any opportunity to sow disinformation.
