The link to it is now on CF front page, like an advert!

Leafstamp · 18/02/2021 08:56

@Dalyesque what’s CF? Apologies for ignorance Smile

Leafstamp · 18/02/2021 08:56

Ah, crowdfunded. Got it!!

hallouminatus · 18/02/2021 09:00

Crowdfunder website is now down. Hope it gets fixed soon.

highame · 18/02/2021 09:01

Just tried to reach, so am hoping there are loads of people donating and not something sinister. I think this crowdfunder is ok to give the fee, I think it's crowdjustice who misbehaved

ChattyLion · 18/02/2021 09:03

Same here.

hallouminatus · 18/02/2021 09:05

Back up now, and FPFW still on front page!

teawamutu · 18/02/2021 09:19

I had a few carrots spare in the fridge.

27% and rising! Go vipers!

FreiasBathtub · 18/02/2021 09:41

I'm so glad FPFW exist and are doing this. I use this data professionally. It really, really matters. If the state cannot see us, how can it ensure it does not disadvantage us?

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 18/02/2021 09:45

donared.

highame · 18/02/2021 09:49

@Dalyesque

Digging for the principle but wondering how the guidance /forms etc can be changed at this late date. Also given the propensity of some to ignore the rules, data will no doubt be inaccurate in these areas.
I think it could just revert to what it was before which had sex and also gender. Perhaps, the ONS wanted to leave it until the last minute, so as to make things difficult.
AnyOldPrion · 18/02/2021 10:00

Perhaps, the ONS wanted to leave it until the last minute, so as to make things difficult.

I don’t think there’s any doubt. There was a false report (think it was in the Times) a couple of weeks ago that said they were going with sex. Then this announcement at the last minute.

So glad FPFW are reacting so fast. If the ONS (and of course others in the future) think it’s easier to shaft women as we would be less likely to object, then we have do demonstrate loud and clear that massed angry women can object more than a tiny number of hyperbolic transactivists even backed, as they are, by their well-funded institutions such as Stonewall.

ChattyLion · 18/02/2021 10:03

Numeration not validation! Smile

PurpleWh1teGreen · 18/02/2021 10:45

Growing steadily with nurturing I see. Donor count is high too. This matters to a lot of people.

BigWoollyJumpers · 18/02/2021 11:00

I agree with the petition wholeheartedly. But honestly, this part of the census is a free form entry, so I think the real issue is that the quality of the data will be inaccurate. Lots of people like being mischievous, and as with the religion "other" and the remarkable increase in Jedi Knights and Druids, I suspect they will get a lot of bad/rude answers.

Oldstyle1 · 18/02/2021 11:21

29%. Carrots in. Broccoli planted. Just digging a little trench for some fennel. Om-pom-pom!

Sillyduckseverywhere · 18/02/2021 11:29

Thanks for this 🥕
I luffs planting carrots!

fatblackcatspaw · 18/02/2021 13:01

34 % of carrotts

TirisfalPumpkin · 18/02/2021 13:58

Found this wizened carrot down the back of the veg drawer, but it all counts.

TheHoneyBadger · 18/02/2021 14:06

Good on them!

I'm far from financially over endowed but I donated to LGB Alliance when they set up and will happily donate to these guys and A Woman's Place all of whom are doing a great job of challenging this shit and reminding everyone sex is a protected characteristic and so is sexuality (no laydees not fancying non females is not transphobic it's called being a lesbian).

heathspeedwell · 18/02/2021 14:08

Done some digging. Was going to treat us to a cheeky take-away later but this is much more important!

fatblackcatspaw · 18/02/2021 14:58

up to 36% carrotts even the wizined carrotts help

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 18/02/2021 15:08

I have added my measly donation. Every little helps.

BaronessWrongCrowd · 18/02/2021 15:11

Done some digging. Planted a few carrots. Will be planting more when I get some more seeds.

DisgustedofManchester · 18/02/2021 16:54

So there's a campaign against the ONS who has made the sex question less open for interpretation than the last one?

The last one actually missed over 6% of people so I assume this is more "erasure of women" by people saying they are women. Is that how it works? Or is it to stop trans men from being able to say they are not women? The statistical impact is insignificant on the data, it can only be some sort of principle to stop trans men whose legal sex marker is male.
