Yes, he clearly didn't actually care about this issue, or want to look further into the sorts of views in question. He just wanted a quick and easy 'look how compassionate I am' moment and is now absolutely raging because he has made himself look like a bellend.

If he wants everyone outside twitter to know he was throwing the words Nazi, Adolf and Eva Braun around, he should certainly try to sue.

It'll get covered in the Daily Mail and the Guardian then, and people will share the article about a comedian being anti-semitic to show how compassionate they are themselves!

Remember the state of establishment comedy before 1980? And how much of it was swept away in a wave of being able to say forbidden things? The alternative comedy movement is now the establishment and much of its energy seems go into policing what is permitted. It's an interesting mirror image.

Hopefully we'll be getting a positive counter-reaction at some point in the near future.

There is probably a defamation case there though given what she said. Plenty of GC people have threatened to sue, why shouldn't people who are trans supportive?

Well given it might be a matter for litigation it's probably not best to discuss it too specifically but if you saw what DrEm posted then it's certainly arguable I think that what was said was untrue and had the potential to defame.
