Tonight’s interview on Triggernometry is with Marcus Eans of the Tai.

I’d suggest watching early in case it gets taken down!

Ooh.

PaleBlueMoonlight · 13/01/2021 16:28

That is definitely one to hear.

rogdmum · 13/01/2021 16:30

That’s excellent- thanks for highlighting!

SunsetBeetch · 13/01/2021 16:35

Oh, great! Triggernometry is also available as a Podcast so if Youtube does take it down, there will be other places to listen to it.

Melroses · 13/01/2021 16:43

Thank you

Awning10 · 13/01/2021 17:35

I was just about to post this as well... looks very interesting.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 13/01/2021 17:50

Oh, I'll watch that. Thanks.

RozWatching · 13/01/2021 18:25

Thanks, this should be very interesting.

Childrenofthestones · 13/01/2021 18:59

475 waiting for it to start.
7pm ...Here we go, eyes down everybody.

ArabellaScott · 13/01/2021 19:04

Ta. Watching now!

FindTheTruth · 13/01/2021 19:33

This is brilliant. So clear. Plain speaking.

v. interesting to hear this from a psychoanalysts point of view too... he's explaining what happened

FindTheTruth · 13/01/2021 19:35

"kids are coached to ask the gatekeeping questions.. speaking rote... cultish feel about the social media websites about this... no discourse about the downsides of transition"

EmmanuelleMakro · 13/01/2021 19:38

Triggernomtry podcast is fab and had saved my sanity this year.

Sorry to have to ask but what is Triggernometry ?

SunsetBeetch · 13/01/2021 20:49

It's a podcast with two comedians who interview "controversial" people. Available on YouTube or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Lifeaintalwaysempty · 13/01/2021 20:54

Thankyou will definitely check it out!

Signalbox · 13/01/2021 21:03

Really interesting interview.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 13/01/2021 21:31

It's interesting to me that their style of interviewing guests about trans issues has changed since they had Posie Parker on.

After listening to them interview Debra Soh, I think KK is still of the belief that people can have opposite sex brains and therefore there are males who are women. But I think they both see some of the issues for women more than they did previously. And they have definitely demonstrated that they understand the risks around children with gd.

Socrates11 · 14/01/2021 21:46

Excellent conversation. Glad Posie & Stephanie Davies Aria get mentions for their sterling work, as well as the obvious appreciation for Kiera Bell's ruling. So much sense being spoken. Here's to stopping harmful clinical practices on children, especially those based on no evidence whatsoever.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 15/01/2021 10:31

I could go with Masha Gessen's suggestion, Lion - social transition for kids, relax about gender because how it presents over a life time is not fixed.

I think Masha said in the article that they transitioned after pregnancy?
Seems fair enough, I am a lot less feminine after having kids too. no urge or time for fripperies

InsideNumberNine · 15/01/2021 12:19

I've also really enjoyed the Triggernometry podcasts this year. Their one with Arielle Scarcella was interesting - alongside a few Joe Rogen ones, WrongThink and The Unspeakable.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/01/2021 15:30

Just finished watching this. Marcus is excellent, and a deeply principled man. Great interview @triggerpod

Triggerpod · 15/01/2021 15:45

Glad you're all enjoying in. Barring any last minute changes, Abigail Shrier will be on the show next week.
