Gardeners - the previous thread was deleted because I linked a tweet from Safe Schools Alliance.

There is a hearing on 12th Jan to try & secure a judicial review of the CPS’s membership of Stonewall’s champions programme. Please support the crowd justice fundraising.

Please google SSA/crowd justice. You know what to do.

Remember to remove the CJ donation - and if you can afford it, add it instead to your donation. Google what Crowd Justice did to Allison Bailey if you want to know why.

Safe schools alliance have tweeted that they are remotely attending the hearing at 2.30 and hope to live tweet. Good luck to them! I hope they manage to secure a judicial review.

gardenbird48 · 12/01/2021 14:49

I’m not sure I can stand the tension - it will horrible if the jr isn’t granted.

highame · 12/01/2021 14:55

TheBigBad · 12/01/2021 15:41

The tension is palpable.

Manderleyagain · 12/01/2021 15:45

Yes refresh refresh here too.

TheBigBad · 12/01/2021 15:46

I really can't look.

MichelleofzeResistance · 12/01/2021 15:50

Unsure of why the schools guidance with no plans to reissue makes things All Better... .surely the issue is that it was created in the first place demonstrating the bias in play. The political agenda presented as the objective truth, and the suppression of girls' rights as good practice.

Bias, front and centre!

WarOnWomen · 12/01/2021 15:50

Not granted

TheBigBad · 12/01/2021 15:50

Not granted Sad

highame · 12/01/2021 15:52

I think it would have succeeded had CPS not withdrawn their guidance.

highame · 12/01/2021 15:54

It does mean that public bodies will have to take more care and to show that they are not biased. The Judge stated that this wasn't about who was right or wrong, so it isn't a win for the CPS

MichelleofzeResistance · 12/01/2021 15:54

Review not granted - on the grounds of there being 'no plans' to re issue the schools' guidance.

Which does not mean to say there won't ever be plans in the future, and is also tacit admission that this guidance was unacceptably biased and would have given grounds to review, and therefore demonstrates that the problem does exist and everyone knows it. The issue is clear in that the guidance was ever issued in the first place! It's not made all better by the fact it's been temporarily put on ice, that does nothing to change the bias of opinion and political involvement that put CPS down the path to write it in the first place.

highame · 12/01/2021 15:57

Lets hope the government keep their commitment to look at lobby groups.

I do think that sometimes government waits on the results of a court case to see whether they need to take any actions. Here's hoping

BuntingEllacott · 12/01/2021 15:57

So basically, everyone knows it showed bias, but as it's been withdrawn and today they said they weren't actually going to review it, we can play the three wise monkeys about Stonewall's influence over the policies of government bodies towards women and girls.

Good to fucking know.
