Ann Sinnott has 9 days to raise her last £9k to protect womens rights

Prompted by a terrible and embarrassingly biased article by Thompson Reuters Foundation about how those awful radical feminists like Keira Bell are using crowd funding websites to do horrible mean things like protect women and children (there is a thread you can read should you desire), I thought/hoped some of you might be up for a bit of last minute seasonal digging to support Ann.

Please google her name and "judicial review" to find the page if you dont know it. Direct links to it here will result in the thread being removed.

Merry Christmas to all those women out there standing up for us. I for one appreciate it more than my financial clout can show

FinallyHere it's the top/pinned post on her twitter as posted above

Cancelled Red Cross.

Given the same to Vancouver Rape Crisis.

Also bumping...

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 17/12/2020 08:06

£4,565 to go.... why haven’t all these shady far-right characters who are meant to be funding us shown up yet????

YellowHighlighterPen · 17/12/2020 08:13

Done

FinallyHere · 17/12/2020 08:33

Thank you, I've found it this time (with your encouragement). Glad to see it's looking

Been digging in this particular garden again. It's time the EHRC gave correct advice rather than acting like puppy dogs to the mighty and more than a little rancid stonewall.

MaudTheInvincible · 17/12/2020 10:54

It's great to see this ticking up - £70,610 now.

BernsBellRowling · 17/12/2020 11:02

As a former human right lawyer, I am incandescent with the EHRC and their absolutely deliberate erosion of women’s rights. They’ve always been a bit of a self-serving shitshow, but their behaviour in this area has been disgraceful. Meanwhile, most of the lawyers and staff there bask in the self-satisfied glow of their own virtue signalling. Unforgivable.

Their actions bolster organisations like Liberty to take the same misogynistic line. I used to volunteer for Liberty (and Amnesty), but they can all get in the bin now, as far as I’m concerned.

So thank you for the reminder to dig again for Ann and her vital case. And thank you to Reuters, Stonewall et al for the incentive to dig a little deeper than I might have done at this time of year.

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 17/12/2020 11:44

Up to £70,725 - £4, 275 to go!

teawamutu · 17/12/2020 11:49

Dug again. And took great pleasure in NOT tipping CJ.

DappledOliveGroves · 17/12/2020 11:51

Thanks for the reminder. Donated!

SirSamuelVimes · 17/12/2020 11:59

I've just had a little dig. Can't really afford it but it's too important to let go.

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 17/12/2020 12:02

Did a little dig.

Carriemac · 17/12/2020 14:47

Given what I would have usually given to children in need

TofuDelights · 17/12/2020 14:50

Just dug, hope this bumps the thread up a little further. I know I'm likely to forget the due date as I go dithering into the holidays so can someone with a better memory than me update the thread nearer the time as a reminder please, and if it's not hit the target I will dig again. Thanks.

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 17/12/2020 15:27

£71,095! That’s just £3,905 to go....

UltimateIrritant · 17/12/2020 15:36

Donated, thank you for reminder

Have done a bit of further digging and am delighted to see that 71,390 flowers are blooming.

McDuffy · 17/12/2020 17:32

At this rate it might sneak over the line!

MerchedCymru · 17/12/2020 17:33

In light of this case it's cheering to see that Liz Truss is insisting that the EHRC focus on equality for all rather than campaigning for particular groups (ie blokes) to ride roughshod over the rights of other groups (i.e. not-blokes). Ann's challenge couldn't be better timed.
