Still, long way between an arrest and a conviction. Just been on the BBC news - I swear the newsreader delivered it with a smirk.

Liverpool is the proverbial rotten borough. Everyone votes labour and always have so no one is concerned about winning over voters. They only need worry about maintaining their power in their local party and then they can be sure of a job on the council for life.

I’m almost as pleased as when our nasty little council leader was banged up for child porn offences.
