It's supposed to be totes hilares, encouraging people to attack women with food at Christmas. Apparently abusing women is 'comedic' as long as it's done with food.

You're not allowed to know what a woman is on Twitter, but an account with 71k followers is allowed to post shit like this. I don't care if it's 'only food', it's blatant disregard for women, that it's okay to treat them like shit as long as you disagree with them. They've obviously never heard of escalation.

Imagine the uproar if we suggested humiliating and degrading transpeople at Christmas in this way. We'd be literal murderers. I'm so fucking sick of the double standards.

It often seems to me that the trans lobby have adopted many of the arguments previously used by the left and feminists, but have kind of subverted them.

I think they would justify this as an oppressed group 'punching up'.

The 'National Women's Health Network' have shared this vile stuff. A 'health network' for women supporting abuse. Trotting out the usual mantras about centering men in feminism.

If a woman is anyone who claims to be a woman, why have a health network for women? Why not just have a people's network? Is it because our health is intrinsically linked to our biology? I bet the women who joined the National Women's Health Network's FDA protest in 1975 knew all about how biology influenced injustice.

Do they think hiding replies works? Whenever Mermaids, for example, post a foot stamping tweet because people are such meanies, I always check the hidden replies first. Always interesting to see the things these orgs are scared of the public seeing.

1. Grow the fuck up and accept that other people have views different than your own

I’m imagining a tantrum-off between a young adult whose granny has forgotten to use the correct term of address or some other hideous misdemeanour, and your 4 year old cousin who explicitly asked for the Green Bo-Boo doll and not the nasty Orange one.

The NWHN was a non-profit organisation founded in Washington DC in 1975 by five really radical old school second wave feminists, three of whom are now dead. Pretty sure this kind of nonsense is a million miles from their intentions.
