Sexual offender kills paedophile in prison (killer has gender identity disorder)

It appears to have been in a male prison. Both killer and victim seems to be horrible people. The killer apparently also had thoughts about killing people and eating them and would have killed more, but had “too much fun” with his victim. He had many issues, among them gender identity disorder, buried in the text towards the end.
@EyesOpening firstly, these is a different Probation system operating in Ireland so I cannot comment. Secondly, if we are are talking about self ID in the most fundamental sense, ie, saying “I am a woman” , and expecting that to carry weight, then clearly that is not adequate. If someone has got a GRC that alters the situation somewhat.
So are you just talking about UK (or E &W)? I’ve just had a quick look myself (but a link about what you’re referring to would be better), and found this:

“Last year, there were 163 transgender prisoners in jails in England and Wales, 129 of them in men's prisons and 34 in women's prisons, an increase of 30 on 2018.

Most self-identified as female.

Self-identified is the term given to someone's personal sense of their own gender, the gender they live in and present as.

The figures, which were collected during April and May 2019, did not include prisoners who had transitioned from their birth gender and who have a full Gender Recognition Certificate.”

It’s not very clear on who identifies as what, being where (nor which figure they’re talking about when they say there’s an increase of 30) but I’m assuming that it’s possible that some of them could be males self identifying as women and could be in the women’s prison.
I do hope you’re right and there are more stringent procedures in place but imo males should not be incarcerated with females (that’s not to say that TW should be incarcerated with men but that’s a different argument)

Of all the topics to strike a nerve and become "controversial" with the usual crowd here, it's a bit concerning that the topic involving a murderer and pedophile is the one they're choosing to derail and defend so aggressively.

May be because it undermines the narrative which says transwomen should be in women’s prisons because they are so vulnerable in men’s prison when the murderer is transgender and the ‘vulnerable prisoner’ a paedophile?

BananaPop2020 · 19/11/2020 16:49

Let me be completely clear - I don’t think men should be incarcerated with women either. Some prisons now have dedicated wings for TG inmates.

It turns out that the 'Gender Identity disorder' is indeed manifesting in this murderer identifying as a woman named Keira.

A quote from the trial for a previous sexual offence was 'I love raping women'. It sounds like the murder trial is currently at Hull Crown Court.

Very ladylike

Well, I never...

Another one for the list.

What scrutiny levels could possibly assess which male criminals are actually, really, genuinely female? No male is female.

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 22/11/2020 11:58

I just wish that this would be more widely written about.

I do not in any way want to minimise the pain of those who suffer from gender dysphoria. However, I also think that this complete acceptance and affirmation is very dangerous, especially when it comes to complex mental health issues.

The perpetrator seem to have exactly that, a very disturbed individual where the gender identity disorder is one of many issues. I think it must be nearly impossible to separate the various issues and to see whether some even may be made up. Unless this can be openly discussed and questioned, I don’t see how women will be kept safe and potential help and/or punishment can be given to the perpetrator.

@BananaPop2020

Just to be clear, men cannot ‘self ID’ into the female prison estate. It is a lot more involved than that.
please explain? maybe you can explain how we have all totally got the wrong end of the stick and its actually all fine?
DrDavidBanner · 22/11/2020 14:55

One less paedophile is no loss really, but from the looks of it the other prisoner should be in a secure mental facility not a prison.

BettyDuKeiraBellisMyShero · 22/11/2020 15:16

Has a female inmate EVER murdered a fellow inmate in the U.K.?

I tried searching google but all I found was a horrific gang v gang massacre in Honduras, and while the story is very muddy, it looks like the perps broke into the prison to kill the inmates, and thus were male.

hoodathunkit · 25/11/2020 13:00

This story is of serious interest to me.

While, like many people, I will not be crying any tears over the murdered child abuser, the murderer is clearly an extremely dangerous sexual sadist.

I just wanted to throw out a possible idea that others may wish to research, as I am utterly overwhelmed with urgent tasks at the moment.

Readers familiar with my posts will understand that I am extremely concerned about the charity StopSo, founded by Juliet Grayson, for various reasons.

One of my many concerns is that the therapy StopSo provides to sexual offenders and people who fear they may offend is something called Pesso Boyden therapy, a form of body psychotherapy that incorporates trance states.

in the below video titled "Pt 1: Lecture By Al Pesso To PBSP Experiential Group On Making New Memories" the inventor of this therapy describes how to "make new memories"

Clearly the idea that creating new memories is considered to be a good thing, even if there is the potential for this, if true, to undermine reality and potentially criminal cases.

The video got me wondering how many of StopSo's therapy clients identified as transgender or the opposite sex prior to and post therapy?

It is my understanding that people can easily be convinced that all manner of things happened because of false memories and recovered memories.

If this Pesso Boyden therapy really can create new memories why is it being used on sexual offender and potential sexual offenders?

Also, how many offenders / potential offenders change their gender identity following Pesso Boyden therapy with StopSo?
