We've just lunched off half a leftover Cumberland sausage by way of starter followed by the 'mince pie' with cream. The alcoholic vine fruits were mixed with stewed pink lady apples, lemon zest, and spices, and warmed. The food processor died when DH was making the pastry (a new one is on order from JL, so I'll count that as an Xmas present), and the pastry turned out a bit hard to roll. So he just cooked it as a sheet - result crisp crumbly unsoggy pastry,delicious fruit.

And I remembered where I'd put my Xmas jumper.
